Got the Key? Don't Start Interiors Yet! Check These First

Finally got the key to your new home? 🏡 It's an exciting moment — the family is happy, photos are taken, and you're ready to start your interiors. But don't start the interiors immediately. In Episode 6 – Part 1 of ORGO Home Conversations, we discuss what homeowners should check after getting the key and before starting their interior work. The first step is simple: walk through your home and check if everything is in order. In this episode, we cover some simple but important checks: 🔹 Doors & Windows Open and close all doors, check the locks and make sure windows and sliding windows are working properly. 🔹 Bathrooms Check taps, showers, flushes and drainage. Pour water and make sure there is no water stagnation or drainage issue. 🔹 Electrical Points Check switches, sockets, TV points, AC points, geyser points and other electrical connections instead of assuming everything is working. 🔹 Flooring & Tiles Look for broken tiles, visible cracks, uneven levels, grouting issues or unusual sounds when walking over the tiles. 🔹 Site Readiness for Interiors Once the basic checks are complete, inform your interior company and get the site inspected for practical design implementation. This includes checking: ✔️ Column projections  ✔️ Beam projections  ✔️ Switch point positions  ✔️ Water purifier positioning  ✔️ Detailed site measurements  ✔️ Other site-specific requirements If changes are required, the interior team can revise the designs accordingly before moving forward. This isn't just about finding defects. It's about making sure your home is ready for the interior plan. We've also prepared a site-checking checklist that homeowners can download and use while checking their new home. 📥 Download the checklist from the ORGO website and use it while doing your site inspection. The key takeaway: Got the key? Don't rush into interiors.  Check the home. Check the site. Then start planning the work. And there's another important situation that comes after this — which we'll discuss in Episode 6 – Part 2. Until then, plan well, ask questions, and create homes that work beautifully. 🎧 Short Podcast Description Got the key to your new home? Don't start the interiors just yet! 🏡 Before beginning your interior work, take a simple walkthrough and check: ✔️ Doors & windows  ✔️ Bathrooms & drainage  ✔️ Electrical switches & sockets  ✔️ Flooring & tiles  ✔️ Site readiness for interiors Then get your interior company to inspect the site, take detailed measurements and check practical design requirements like columns, beams, switch points and other site conditions. First check. Then plan. Then start. 🎙️ ORGO Home Conversations – Episode 6 | Part 1 #ORGOHomeConversations #ORGOInteriors #NewHome #HomeHandover #HomeInteriors #InteriorPlanning #InteriorDesign #InteriorTips #HomeInspection #NewHomeChecklist #HomeHandoverChecklist #InteriorSiteInspection #InteriorDesignChennai #ChennaiInteriors #HomePlanning #DreamHome #Homeowners #ResidentialInteriors #HomeInteriorTips #InteriorPlanningChennai ORGO Interiors Begin with clarity. When Should You Start Planning Your Home Interiors? | ORGO Home Conversations

Should you start your home interiors only after getting the key? That's one of the biggest misunderstandings homeowners have. In Episode 5 of ORGO Home Conversations, we discuss when you should actually start planning your interiors — and why waiting until the key handover can create unnecessary pressure, confusion and mistakes. If your home handover is still months away, is it too early to start? Not necessarily. Interior planning needs time for thinking, comparing, discussing and making decisions. But that doesn't mean you should start everything too early either. In this episode, we discuss what homeowners can do before getting the key: 🔹 Understand and discuss your family's requirements  🔹 Plan your interior budget  🔹 Research and compare interior design companies  🔹 Finalize your designer  🔹 Plan and finalize layouts  🔹 Understand materials and specifications  🔹 Compare and finalize quotations  🔹 Freeze designs before handover  🔹 Conduct a site inspection when the site is ready  🔹 Make necessary design and production changes We also share a simple 3-month, 2-month and 1-month planning timeline to help homeowners understand when each stage can be planned. The key takeaway? Interior work doesn't start on the day you get the key.  The decision starts long before that. Planning at the right time can help reduce last-minute pressure, confusion, mistakes and unnecessary expenses — while making the transition into your new home much smoother. We also talk about the ORGO Homeowners' Get In downloadable planning guide, which homeowners can use to discuss their requirements with their family, builder and interior designer. 🏡 Plan early. Ask questions. Create homes that work beautifully. 🎙️ ORGO Home Conversations – Episode 5 ORGO Interiors Begin with clarity. Proceed with confidence. https://orgointeriors.in/

What Should You Ask Before Signing an Interior Agreement?

Are you about to sign an interior agreement? Don't rush into it. For many homeowners, signing the agreement is an exciting moment—but it can also come with a lot of questions and uncertainty. What exactly is included?  What is not included?  What materials will be used?  How long will the project take?  What does the warranty actually cover? In Episode 4 of ORGO Home Conversations, we discuss the important questions every homeowner should ask before signing an interior agreement. We cover: 🔹 What's included? Understand exactly what is covered across the kitchen, bedrooms, living room, false ceiling, electricals and more. 🔹 What's NOT included? Exclusions are often overlooked, but this is where misunderstandings can begin. 🔹 What are the material specifications? Don't just look at the material name. Check the carcass, shutter finish, handles, hinges, drawer mechanisms, soft closers, electricals, lighting and false ceiling specifications. 🔹 What is the project timeline? Instead of simply asking when the project will be completed, understand the time required for design, production, site work and installation. 🔹 What does the warranty cover? Ask what is covered, what isn't, how post-handover service works, whom to contact, response timelines and what happens if a replacement or paid service is required. Most importantly: Don't hesitate to ask questions. This is your home. Ask. Understand. Think. Then decide. An informed customer is a confident customer. 🎧 Listen to Episode 4 of ORGO Home Conversations and make sure you know what you're signing before you move forward with your interiors. How to Compare Interior Quotations the Right Way?

You have three interior quotations: ₹8 Lakhs, ₹10 Lakhs and ₹12 Lakhs. Which one should you choose? Most homeowners compare the final amount and make their decision. But an interior quotation is more than just a number. In Episode 3 of ORGO Home Conversations, we discuss how homeowners can compare quotations more practically by looking at the scope of work, materials, specifications, finishes, hardware and overall detailing before comparing the final price. We also explain why simply comparing the board material isn't enough. Details such as carcass material, shutter finish, handles, hinges, drawer channels and soft-close mechanisms can all make a difference. In this episode: • Why the lowest quotation isn't necessarily the best choice • How to identify common points across quotations • How to compare the scope of work • What specifications homeowners should look for • Why detailed quotations are important • How to standardize the scope before comparing prices • How to make a confident final decision The goal isn't simply to find the cheapest quotation. The goal is to understand what you're getting and make an informed decision. Because an interior quotation should not confuse you. It should educate you. 🎧 Listen to the full episode and follow ORGO Home Conversations for more practical conversations about planning your home interiors. #ORGOHomeConversations #ORGOInteriors #InteriorQuotation #InteriorDesign #HomeInteriors #InteriorCost #InteriorBudget #InteriorPlanning #HomeDesign #InteriorTips #ChennaiInteriors #ResidentialInteriors ORGO Interiors Begin with clarity.
