Trusting God When You Have to Start Over

What does it look like to keep choosing God when obedience requires you to leave behind what’s familiar? In this episode, I sit down with Whitney “Planejayne” Jones for an honest conversation about faith, identity, hardship, and the journey of becoming who God has called her to be. Whitney shares what it was like growing up in the church, including some of the social pressures and painful experiences that came with not always fitting the expectations placed on her. We talk about learning to embrace who she is despite criticism, navigating two divorces, and eventually making the decision to leave Miami and move to Texas with no family nearby because she believed God was leading her there. She also opens up about the sacrifices of being a single mother, rebuilding after difficult seasons, and what obedience to God has required of her along the way. Through loss, transition, criticism, and starting over, Whitney’s faith has remained an important part of how she continues to move forward. Now, she’s stepping more fully into her purpose and ministry and using her experiences to encourage others who are finding their own voice, healing from the past, and learning to trust God with what comes next. This conversation is a reminder that walking in purpose doesn’t mean the road there will be easy. Sometimes becoming who God is calling you to be requires the courage to keep going when the path looks nothing like you expected. What It Really Takes to Build a Healthy Marriage

In this episode, I sit down with a couple who has been married for 29 years to talk honestly about what they’ve learned through nearly three decades of marriage. They share how they met, the challenges they’ve faced, and what they believe has helped them build a healthy marriage that continues to work through different seasons of life. We talk about the hard truths of marriage, getting to know your spouse beyond who you thought they were, navigating challenges together, and the importance of keeping God at the center of both your marriage and your individual lives. Marriage takes work, but they don’t believe that means it shouldn’t also be fun. After 29 years, two children, and two grandchildren, they share what has helped them continue to enjoy each other, grow together, and choose their marriage through the years. Whether you’re married, preparing for marriage, or simply want healthier relationships, this conversation is an honest look at faith, love, commitment, and what it takes to build a marriage you actually enjoy. 🙌🏾 Follow LaToya and Marlon: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/enjoyingyourmarriage?stkn=cDVyNG9jMm52bW5y Twitter (X): https://x.com/enjoyurmarriage ❤️✨Follow Me for more relationship Tips: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/the.cozy_place/ Tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@the.cozy_place Facebook:https://www.facebook.com/people/The-Cozy-Place-with-Brittany-Banks/61591325617349/

Becoming the Woman You’re Meant to Be: Burnout, Growth & Healthy Habits

What does it really take to become the woman you’re meant to be? In this episode, we sit down with Janelle “CoachJJSays” Wright, a certified health coach, to talk about women’s personal growth, burnout, self-care, mindset, discipline, and building healthy habits that support the life you want to create. Janelle shares how her own wellness and personal growth journey inspired her to help other women evolve—mind, body, and life. We talk about why motivation alone isn’t always enough, the importance of creating systems that help you stay consistent, and how becoming a better version of yourself sometimes requires being honest about what is no longer working. We also get personal about marriage, motherhood, and growing alongside your partner through different seasons of life. After nearly three decades together, Janelle shares what she’s learned about evolving as individuals while continuing to choose and grow with one another. At the heart of Janelle’s work is a simple philosophy: leave people better than you found them. If you’ve been feeling burned out, stuck, or ready for a new season, this conversation is about giving yourself permission to evolve—and making the daily choices that help you become the woman you’re meant to be. She Survived It. Then She Found Faith.

What happens when the things you've been through become part of the story God is still writing? In this episode, I sit down with Tiara Marie for an honest and deeply personal conversation about trauma, healing, faith, and finding her way back to herself. Tiara opens up about some of the difficult experiences that have shaped her life, what it has looked like to process those experiences, and how her journey ultimately led her into a deeper relationship with God. This conversation is a reminder that healing isn't always linear, faith doesn't mean we never struggle, and our hardest seasons don't have to define the rest of our story. If you're navigating your own healing journey, questioning where God is in the middle of your pain, or simply trying to become a healthier version of yourself, I hope this conversation reminds you that you are not alone—and there is still more to your story. 🎙️ In this episode, we talk about: • Trauma and the journey toward healing • Finding faith in difficult seasons • What it means to process what you've been through • Personal growth and self-discovery • Learning to seek support and not walk through life alone • Turning painful experiences into purpose If this conversation resonates with you, subscribe, follow the podcast, and share this episode with someone who may need to hear it.
