    On September 27, 2026, an avalanche struck Himlung Himal Base Camp in Nepal, burying the Nepali workers who had gone ahead to prepare the mountain for the autumn climbing season.The foreign climbers had not even arrived.Tents were being erected. Supplies were being organized. The climbing route was being prepared. Then the mountain above Base Camp gave way.Fifteen Nepali expedition workers ultimately lost their lives.     Millionaire Matt Dawson’s Fatal Fall on Ismoil Somoni Peak | What Happened at 5,800m?

    Millionaire adventurer Matt Dawson survived depression, devastating personal loss, Everest, the South Pole, ocean rowing and some of the harshest environments on Earth.But on August 15, 2026, at approximately 5,800 metres on Ismoil Somoni Peak in Tajikistan, something went terribly wrong.Dawson suffered a fatal fall during a mountaineering expedition connected to a three-peak fundraising challenge for the ALS Network.
