Got something to say to this podcast? Send a voicemail, and you might hear yourself on the next episode! With one of the world’s most remarkable life cycles and migrations, the eel is a reminder that the world is wonderful. Yet, faced with ongoing threats from climate change and dams, the once abundant eel is having a hard time. Bringing together poetry, memory, philosophy, science and hope, this documentary is my quest to muster up a little love for the mysterious and underrated eel. Guests include author Patrik Svensson, eel scientist Dr Wayne Kosta, and Gunditjmara ranger Jakobe Walker. References: CUNNINGHAM, J. The Discovery of the Larva of the Common Eel.
