Stop Going to Work. Start Going on Mission.

What if your job is actually your mission? In this episode of the B1 Podcast, Blake, Mark, Ally, and Luke continue the conversation from Luke’s message, “Live Life on Mission,” and explore what it really means to follow Jesus and live on mission wherever God has placed you. You don’t have to become a missionary, pastor, or full-time ministry leader to make disciples. Your job, your family, your hobbies, your skills, and your everyday relationships can all become opportunities to share the love of Jesus and help others grow in their faith. We talk about the Great Commission, making disciples, business as mission, motherhood as ministry, and the idea that the church isn’t simply somewhere we go, it’s something we are sent from. Ally shares how she has used real estate and motherhood as opportunities to serve people and make disciples, while Blake shares the story of how his passion for woodworking led to the creation of a ministry that has helped establish woodshops, metal shops, and sewing shops around the world. The bigger question is this: What has God already placed in your hands? You may feel like your job, talents, season of life, or everyday responsibilities aren't significant enough to be used by God. But what if God has strategically placed you exactly where you are for a reason? You don't have to go somewhere else to live on mission. You just have to start paying attention. If you're wondering how to live for Jesus at work, at home, in your community, or wherever life takes you, this conversation will challenge you to see your everyday life differently. The mission isn't somewhere else. The mission is right where you are. #B1Podcast #ONEChurch #LiveOnMission #LifeOnMission #ChristianPodcast #Christianity #FollowingJesus #GreatCommission #MakeDisciples #Discipleship #FaithInAction #BusinessAsMission #ChristianLiving #Jesus #Church

Love Is Inconvenient. Are You Willing to Stop?

What does it really mean to love your neighbor? In this episode of the B1 Podcast, Pastor Blake and Pastor Mark sit down with Karma Novak, Executive Director of I-58 Mission, to talk about compassion, serving others, and what it looks like when our faith moves us to action. Continuing the conversation from the Good Samaritan, we explore the difference between simply feeling sympathy for someone and having the kind of compassion that makes you stop, show up, and do something. Karma shares the story of how I-58 Mission began after one family’s needs opened her eyes to poverty right in her own community—and how saying “yes” allowed God to turn one act of compassion into a growing ministry. We talk about the danger of becoming so busy, comfortable, or religious that we walk past people who need help, why love is almost always inconvenient, and how the Holy Spirit can put people directly in our path for a reason. This conversation also highlights the work of I-58 Mission, the importance of meeting physical needs while sharing the love of Jesus, and the power of giving people dignity, hope, and community. Sometimes following Jesus is as simple as saying yes. You may not be called to do everything, but you can do something. You can stop. You can notice. You can love. You can serve. Jesus said, “Go and do likewise.” #B1Podcast #ONEChurch #GoodSamaritan #LoveYourNeighbor #ChristianPodcast #Christianity #Compassion #ServeOthers #FollowingJesus #FaithInAction #Church #Jesus #I58Mission

You Were Never Meant to Do This Alone

n this episode of the B1 Podcast, we talk about why we were never meant to do life or faith alone. Continuing the conversation from ONE Church’s “Don’t Grow Alone” message in the EveryONE Matters series, Pastor Blake and Pastor Mark unpack the importance of Christian community, authentic friendship, spiritual growth, and discipleship. In a culture where conversations often stay shallow, how do we move beyond small talk and actually grow deep with other people? We talk about why real friendship requires commitment, why vulnerability can be so uncomfortable, and why we often hide the very wounds that could lead to deeper relationships. The goal isn’t simply to find people to hang out with—it’s to find people who will walk with us through the wins, the struggles, the questions, and the storms of life. The conversation also explores what it means to be rooted together in Christ, the importance of having people ahead of us, beside us, and behind us in our faith, and how discipleship happens when we intentionally do life together. If you’ve ever felt isolated, struggled to find genuine Christian friendships, or wondered how to grow deeper in your faith, this episode is for you. You don’t need more content. You need community. You were never meant to do this alone. #BeOnePodcast #ONEChurch #ChristianPodcast #ChristianCommunity #ChristianFriendship #Discipleship #SpiritualGrowth #Faith #FollowingJesus #Church #GrowDeep #EveryONEMatters

Jesus Never Asked You to Be Religious

In this episode of the Be One Podcast, we ask a simple but deeply important question: What if you’re hearing God wrong? Pastor Blake, Pastor Mark, and Katie Palmer continue the conversation from ONE Church’s sermon, Do You Know God?, exploring what it really means to hear God’s voice, know God, and follow Jesus. How do you know when God is speaking? What does it look like to follow Him when what He asks feels uncomfortable, unexpected, or even a little wild? The conversation also takes an honest look at religion, legalism, self-righteousness, and the ways church culture can push people away from Jesus instead of drawing them closer. We talk about the difference between knowing about God and actually knowing Him—and why serving, Bible knowledge, and religious activity can never replace intimacy with God. Katie also shares her powerful story of growing up in ministry, serving Atlanta’s homeless community, leading outreach and missions, and watching her family create spaces where people who often felt rejected could experience the love of Jesus. From homeless ministry in Atlanta to missions in Africa, Haiti, and beyond, her story challenges us to rethink what it means to be the Church. If you've ever wondered how to hear God, how to know God's voice, how to follow Jesus, or whether church has become more about religion than relationship, this conversation is for you. Listen in. Ask yourself: Do I hear God? Do I know Him? And am I willing to follow where He leads? #BeOnePodcast #ONEChurch #KnowGod #HearGod #HearingGod #FollowingJesus #ChristianPodcast #Faith #Jesus #Church #Christianity #SpiritualGrowth

    May They Be ONE

What does it really mean to be ONE? In the very first episode of the B1church Podcast, Pastor Blake and Mark sit down for an honest conversation about why this podcast exists, why our church is called ONE Church, and the heart behind the words “May they be one” from Jesus’ prayer in John 17. We talk about the challenge of following Jesus in a divided world, why oneness isn't the same as sameness, and what it looks like for the church to become a place where people can belong before they behave or believe. We also continue the conversation from this week's message in Luke 19, looking at Jesus and Zacchaeus and what his willingness to pursue someone everyone else had written off teaches us about friendship, grace, belonging, and loving people who may be very different from us. The goal isn't to have all the answers. It's to keep having the conversation—to go a little deeper than we can on Sunday, laugh a little, ask better questions, and figure out together what it really looks like to follow Jesus in everyday life. If you're watching ONE Church online, keep the conversation going with us throughout the week. And if you're in Fayetteville, GA, we'd love to have you join us in person. There's always room for one more.
