Longtime TMOS listeners know the voices, the stories, the chemistry, and the occasional chaos. Now Robb and Josh are taking all of that and building something new. Expect laughs, arguments, great stories, questionable opinions, behind-the-scenes tales, unexpected rabbit holes, and the kind of conversations that happen when two friends have spent way too many years sitting in front of microphones.     006 : His Name Is Earl

    Josh has hired an assistant. His name is Earl. Robb has one question: who the hell is Earl? In episode 006, Josh introduces his AI assistant, a tireless organizer with the attitude of Orioles legend Earl Weaver. Earl sorts founder messages, untangles a stack of toll notices, checks in with Josh’s wife, and offers thrift-store advice with a grumpy baseball-manager streak. Robb wonders when a computer became the third guy on the show—and whether his own assistant, Hector, needs a personality upgrade. Then the guys tackle baseball’s unwritten rules: stop blocking home plate for your selfie, and if you catch a playoff foul ball, do you really have to give it to a kid? Josh’s World Series longing leads to a Super Bowl memory involving Paul McCartney, which Robb takes very personally. Josh shares an encouraging update on Bella after a rough stretch of emergency-vet visits. Robb’s love of The Sting opens the door to an impressive playing-card collection, a shopping cart he wisely abandoned, and ideas for the final TMOS cruise. In Episode 005, Robb walks Josh through a garbage-day disaster and the surprisingly clever trick he uses to track down his missing key. Josh has a competing strategy, naturally, and the guys debate whether brains beat simply diving into the trash. Along the way, there’s a hard-fought used-car negotiation, a stash of root beer barrels, and considerably more mayonnaise than anyone wanted. The conversation takes a more personal turn as Josh shares a frightening emergency-vet visit with his dog Bella and the staggering cost of getting answers. Robb relates with stories about his aging dog Linus, a failed nail-trimming appointment, and a groomer whose voice sends him straight into *Euphoria*.     004 The Boohole

    Some people visit a haunted attraction to be scared. Robb visits one and learns industry terminology—specifically, the “boohole,” the hidden alcove where a scare actor waits to ruin your evening. In Episode 004, Robb takes Josh inside a Halloween Haunt preview packed with fog machines, monsters, candy apples, suspiciously enthusiastic influencers, and enough booholes to make anyone reconsider throwing a reflexive punch. The guys also imagine retired baseball legend Albert “Boohole,” debate the proper use of a no-scare necklace, and make plans to resurrect the turkey-leg challenge. Then the conversation escapes the maze. Josh samples Season 35 of Dancing with the Stars, the guys pitch “Dancing with the Founders” for the final TMOS cruise, and Robb discovers a Wonka reality competition so bad he cannot stop watching it. There is also a well-earned Hall of Fame induction for founding listener Jolene White, a full-volume rendition of “Copacabana” performed for free sandwich-shop cookies, and an urgent debate over enormous holiday decorations—including a 40-foot teddy bear and the inseparable Miser Brothers.     003 Traitor Joes

    Robb has spent years believing it was spelled “Traitor Joe’s.” Now the truth—and the groceries—can finally come out. In Episode 003, a parking-lot handoff of collectible Elvis Matchbox cars leads Robb and Josh into the strange world of specialty groceries, suspicious shoppers, vegan marshmallows, chicken pot pies, frozen-food nostalgia, and the realization that the store may not have been betraying anyone after all. Then Josh delivers the follow-up nobody expected: his completely scientific list of the smartest animals he has personally encountered. Chameleons, bees, birds, dogs, alligators, sharks, and several questionable definitions of “intelligence” enter the debate.     002 : Smart Mosquito

    In Episode 002, Robb and Josh discover that mosquitoes may be getting smart enough to work around insect repellent, launching an urgent investigation into DEET, bug intelligence, the animal kingdom’s unofficial IQ rankings, and whether a mosquito could someday outsmart a chicken. The science is unsettling. Their conclusions are considerably less reliable. Then Brian Boone, fact curator for Uncle John’s All-Knowing Bathroom Reader, joins the show to explain how bizarre facts make it onto the page, what it takes to verify the unbelievable, and why bathroom reading became an institution.     It's a special JAR episode, and Robb opens Founder’s Day with dilated pupils, candy-coated cataracts, and a medical plan whose best feature is “insurance might actually pay for it.” Josh and Robb officially welcome the founding members of Still Talkin'—no final G, no time for it—complete with vault access, future swag, and a Hall of Fame probably not carved into the Kennedy Center. Their Labor Day couples trip to the Outer Banks becomes a preview of friendship, podcasting, and the dangerous possibility of jointly owning a hot tub with siblings. Robb then discovers the only surviving film of his grandfather, duckpin champion William “Big Daddy” Stalkup, who looked magnificent and apparently hated every non-regulation frame of it. Finally, a golf brand's horror-themed driver ad lands in the rough so badly that even the apology needs an apology.     JARS - TMOS # 3698 Cutty Knife

    Robb and Josh take the wheel, and Robb’s missing Cutco steak knife becomes a full-blown domestic crime scene—complete with trash-bag forensics, eBay negotiations, and a dream in which the blade finally comes home. The Jarheads also discover that cursive is now basically an encrypted language, which is unfortunate when a young teacher receives a handwritten note. From there, they inspect celebrity signatures, judge a new Jimmy Stewart biopic, and prove that no tangent is too old-timey for this program. Then they get candid about Mike’s retirement, the future of the show, and what’s next for the Josh-and-Robb era. Finally, AI bands invade Spotify, creativity goes on trial, and everybody leaves wondering whether the real threat is artificial music or an empty slot in Robb’s knife block.
