The True Essence of Christianity | Goodness Kolawole

What is the true essence of the Christian faith? Is Christianity open to endless interpretation, or has God given one definite gospel to His church? In this message, Pastor Goodness explains why the New Testament presents one faith, one gospel, and one body of apostolic truth delivered once for all to the saints. We consider the seriousness of false doctrine, the believer’s future resurrection hope, and why Christ’s resurrection guarantees victory over death for all who belong to Him. This teaching also examines the true offer of the gospel and the difference between common grace and saving grace. Jesus did not come merely to provide temporary earthly benefits, but to reconcile sinners to God and give eternal life. Miracles are not the essence of Christianity — Christ is. We do not come to Him for treasures; He himself is the treasure.

The Authority of Scripture (Part 5 of 5) | Goodness Kolawole

Has God given new revelation beyond Scripture? How should Christians evaluate prophecies, spiritual experiences, miracles, and modern truth-claims? In this message, Pastor Goodness explains why Scripture is the standard by which every spiritual claim must be tested. We also examine how Jesus preauthenticated the apostolic witness, why the writings of the apostles are fully authoritative for the church, and why the New Testament epistles are not inferior to the words of Christ in the Gospels.

The Authority of Scripture (Part 4 of 5) | Goodness Kolawole

If the Old Testament is truly the Word of God, how should believers today relate to it? Does everything in it still apply, or has something changed? In this message, Pastor Goodness explains why the Old Testament remains the authoritative and enduring Word of God, while also making a crucial distinction between the Old Testament as Scripture and the Old Covenant it contains. He shows how the same God who spoke through the prophets has now spoken in His Son, and why this means there is continuity - not contradiction - between the Old and New Testaments.

The Authority of Scripture (Part 3 of 5) | Goodness Kolawole

Does the Bible speak as human opinion, or does it claim to be the very words of God? In this message, Pastor Goodness explains how Jesus and the apostles consistently treated the Old Testament as God speaking - often attributing the words of Scripture to the Holy Spirit - why Scripture is said to be inspired down to its smallest details, and what Jesus meant when He declared that ‘the Scripture cannot be broken’. We also address common misunderstandings of passages like Matthew 5, showing that Christ did not oppose or correct the Old Testament, but upheld it against misinterpretation and misuse.

The Authority of Scripture (Part 2 of 5) | Goodness Kolawole

Where did the Bible come from? The Bible did not arise from human impulse or imagination. This message explores the divine authorship of Scripture, the Spirit’s guidance of the prophets and apostles, the equal authority of the Old and New Testaments, and why apostolic teaching is final and unrepeatable. No later revelation today can be equal to what God has already spoken in His Word. True spirituality isn’t known by dismissing the words of the apostles, but in total submission to apostolic authority. Every Word of God is flawless, and nothing may be added to it.

The Authority of Scripture (Part 1 of 5) | Goodness Kolawole

The Christian faith stands or falls on the authority of Scripture. In this teaching, we examine the inerrancy of God’s Word (both Old and New Testaments), Christ’s view of the Old Testament, the apostolic witness to Scripture as the very voice of God, and the finality of the biblical canon. When Scripture speaks, God speaks.

The Sinless Saviour | Goodness Kolawole

In this sermon, we look at what it really means that Jesus was without sin. You’ll see how He shared our humanity, faced temptation, yet remained perfectly obedient.
