Faithfully Single - Not Settling

faithfullysinglenotsettling

Faithfully Single — Not Settling is a dating show about the real, awkward, funny, frustrating, and sometimes lonely realities of being single. We’re talking openly about the challenges singles face—from dating and relationships to expectations, rejection, loneliness, faith, self-worth, and the pressure to “just find someone already.” Our goal is to create a place where singles can laugh, relate, feel understood, and remember that being single doesn’t mean putting life on hold. We believe you can want love, keep dating, keep growing, and still refuse to settle for a relationship that isn’t right. We’re faithfully single, navigating dating one experience at a time—and hopefully helping other singles feel a little less alone along the way.

    I Don’t Feel Attractive Today… Should I Still Go?

Have you ever almost skipped an activity because you thought, “I don't look good enough today…and there are going to be guys there”? 😬 We've both felt that pressure. In this episode of Faithfully Single — Not Settling, we talk about the expectation we sometimes put on ourselves to look our absolute best anytime there's a possibility of meeting someone. Hair done. Makeup done. Cute outfit. Everything just right. But there's a problem: you can meet someone anywhere. At church. At the grocery store. At the gym when you're sweaty. Getting gas. Or on the exact day you threw your hair up and decided you didn't care what you looked like. Rebecca shares how she almost didn't want to go to church because she didn't feel like she looked good enough—and then realized something: isn't showing up more important than looking perfect while you're there? We also talk about whether trying so hard to look our best can sometimes come from insecurity. Ironically, when we're comfortable in what we're wearing, we might actually feel more confident and be more willing to talk to people. Because eventually, whoever we date is going to see us without the perfect hair, makeup, and outfit anyway. 😂 Maybe putting yourself out there doesn't mean looking perfect every time. Maybe sometimes it just means showing up as you are. Do you feel more confident when you're completely dressed up, or when you're comfortable and casual? Tell us in the comments! ❤️

Christian Dating: Look at the Fruits, Not Just the Label

Someone's dating profile says Christian. You meet them at church. They tell you they believe in God. But how do you figure out what faith actually looks like in their everyday life? In this episode of Faithfully Single — Not Settling, we talk about one of the trickier parts of faith-based dating: determining whether you and the person you're dating actually approach your faith in compatible ways. Because saying “I believe in God” can mean very different things to different people. We share experiences where someone's actions didn't match what we expected based on the faith they professed, and we talk about ways to have deeper conversations without making the first few dates feel like a spiritual job interview. What does their prayer life look like? Do they read scripture? How do they incorporate God into their everyday decisions? What's their favorite scripture—and why? What do they love about living their faith? Sometimes the answers can tell you much more than simply asking, “Are you Christian?” But we also wrestle with the other side of this conversation: How careful should we be about judging someone who's simply at a different place in their spiritual journey? Do you need someone whose faith looks like yours today, or could you grow together? Ultimately, it's not about finding someone who can check the Christian box. It's about understanding what spiritual compatibility means to you and whether you're both hoping to build the same kind of life.
