American Stained Glass

Cory

We chose the name American Stained Glass because it perfectly captures the messy beauty of our shared reality. A stained glass window isn’t made of one single, perfect sheet; it’s a collection of jagged, mismatched pieces held together to create something meaningful. Whether you’re a nurse dealing with a "Mean Face" in the breakroom, a veteran trying to find your footing after taking off the uniform, a teacher, or a police officer—we are all part of this same American window. While our conversations often start with the unique lens of Black leadership and the specific hurdles faced by professionals of color, this show is truly for everyone. The themes we tackle—like navigating high-stakes stress, the weight of "hyper-visibility" in the workplace, and the internal shift that happens when your career identity changes—are universal. Our goal is to provide an unfiltered voice to our guests, allowing their raw stories to show that while our individual pieces have different colors and histories, it’s the light passing through all of us that creates the full picture.so, lean in as we get real about the unseen scars of the job and the resilience it takes to keep going. We’re here to prove that no matter your profession, your piece of the glass matters.
