ENGLISH Welcome to ICNS, the podcast about the icons of our time and pop culture! Two languages, two hearts and a whole lot of pop culture rabbit holes. Katie is half Irish, half German – and since there have always been two hearts beating in her chest, ICNS comes in two languages, too: every episode is released in both German and English. Katie has spent years working in the media and creator industry, but more importantly, she is completely obsessed with pop culture, music history and the people who shaped it. And at some point, all that nerdiness simply needed a platform of its own. So, ICNS was born. Every episode dives deep into the life of a different icon: their stories and scandals, relationships, successes and failures, and most importantly, the question of who these people really were. What drove them? What shaped them? And how did they become the people who would leave such a lasting mark on pop culture decades later? From some of the biggest names in music history to people whose influence might only become obvious once you look a little closer, ICNS tells the stories of icons who shaped Katie – and, chances are, shaped some of you too. Because really, what could be better than spending hours getting lost in stories from the past, knowing slightly too much about people you've never met and maybe even finding a little inspiration for your own life along the way?
