The Beowulf podcast is a sequential, cinematic retelling of the ancient public-domain epic in clear modern English. It follows the Geatish warrior Beowulf from his arrival at Heorot through the battles with Grendel, Grendel’s mother, and the dragon that ends his life, preserving the original chronology, characters, and atmosphere while letting the story breathe. Each episode drops the listener straight into the mead-halls, fen-paths, and battlefields of the north, told with the warmth and measured pace of a storyteller seated by the fire. Themes of courage, honor, loyalty, and the weight of legacy rise naturally from the action rather than being explained. The narration is written specifically for immersive audio listening and never breaks the spell of the tale.
