In this episode, we sit down again with Jon Crovo to continue an essential and deeply human conversation. Jon takes us back to the height of the AIDS crisis — a time when fear, loss, and uncertainty shaped daily life for countless young men. With compassion and clarity, he shares how he unexpectedly became a community leader, stepping in to organize health care, support networks, and even funerals for friends who were barely in their twenties. This episode explores what it meant to shoulder responsibility in a moment when institutions failed and communities had to save themselves. Jon’s story is one of courage, grief, and the quiet heroism that emerges when someone decides to show up — again and again — for people who have nowhere else to turn.
