A Tale of Two Shepherds by Phil Stanley

A TALE OF TWO SHEPHERDS | Psalm 23 Everyone is being led somewhere. The question is: which shepherd are you following? Psalm 23 gives us one of Scripture’s clearest pictures of what life looks like when the Lord is our Shepherd. He provides what we need. He gives us rest. He restores our souls. He walks with us through the valley. He prepares a table for us. And He pursues us with goodness and mercy. But every promise of the Good Shepherd has a counterfeit. The false shepherd tells us we need more.He tells us to keep running. He tells us to numb what hurts. He convinces us to stay trapped by fear.He fills us with things that never satisfy. And then he whispers that we are too broken or too far gone to ever be loved. In A Tale of Two Shepherds, Pastor Phil Stanley walks through Psalm 23 and challenges us to recognize the voices leading our lives. Maybe the question isn’t whether you have a shepherd. Maybe the question is which one you’ve been following. This week:• Audit the voice.• Choose rest.• Get connected. The Good Shepherd is still calling, still leading, and still pursuing. 📖 Scripture: Psalm 23🎙️ Sundays at Cornerstone📍 Cornerstone Assembly | Augusta, Georgia If this message encouraged you, LIKE the video, SHARE it with someone who needs it, and COMMENT below: Which part of Psalm 23 speaks to you most right now? Holiness Is a Direction by Heather Stanley

Holiness isn’t about pretending to be perfect—it’s about paying attention to the direction your life is headed. In this message from Sundays at Cornerstone, Pastor Heather Stanley looks at the life of Samson and the danger of continuing down the wrong road simply because God has still been gracious enough to use us. Samson was called, gifted, and empowered by God, but his gifts could not protect him from the consequences of his choices. The good news is that when we miss the turn, God offers us something better than condemnation: rerouting. Repentance isn’t simply feeling bad about where we’ve been; it’s changing where we’re going. In this message, we’ll talk about what it means to: Check your direction — Just because you’re not there yet doesn’t mean you’re not headed there.Own your choices — The enemy is real, but the devil isn’t responsible for every mess in our lives.Guard what God cleans — You can’t continually ask God for a clean heart while choosing the same things that keep making it dirty.Sometimes what we call spiritual warfare is actually the harvest of decisions we’ve made. But no matter how far down the wrong road you’ve traveled, God’s grace can still give you a new direction. Holiness isn’t perfection. It’s direction. 📖 Scriptures include Judges 16:4–6, Proverbs 4:26, Acts 3:19, 1 Peter 5:8, Genesis 3:11–13, Galatians 6:7, Psalm 51:10, Psalm 139:23–24, and Proverbs 4:23. What's on Your Altar? The God We Make by Phil Stanley

We live in a world built around customization. Our playlists, entertainment, news, and even our coffee are designed to give us more of what we like and less of what we don’t. But what happens when we start doing the same thing with God? In “The God We Make,” the first message in the What’s on Your Altar? series, Pastor Phil Stanley examines the danger of counterfeit worship—when we keep God’s name but begin changing the terms of our surrender. Through three moments in Israel’s history, we see three counterfeit altars: • The Altar of Impatience — when we trade God’s timing for our own• The Altar of Control — when we trade God’s sovereignty for our own• The Altar of Compromise — when we trade God’s righteousness for a standard we can manage Every altar demands a sacrifice. The counterfeit altar still asks for sacrifice—it just lets us decide what goes on it. Authentic worship asks, “What does God require?”Counterfeit worship asks, “What am I willing to give?” The question isn’t only, “What’s on your altar?” The harder question may be: Whose altar is it?
