    Hello my sweet angel babies! Welcome back to Voice Notes with George and this week we are debriefing or venting or both. Firstly, I need to clear up am I a Perth girly?! I touch on things that have given me the ick recently but also a little bit of a PSA that I can't spill the tea even though I would love to haha. We also formally discuss bringing the word “fugly” back, but ETHICALLY. Then we get into The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives because I watched the entire new season not once, but TWICE, and I am going insane We chat about my thoughts on the girls this season, the storylines that seemed to disappear, who I think is a producer's absolute dream and the parts of the season that made me genuinely uncomfortable. That leads us into a bigger conversation about reality television and the way toxic and abusive relationships have historically been packaged as entertainment. From Jersey Shore to the reality shows we're watching now, I have some THOUGHTS about producers using romantic edits, emotional music and will-they-won't-they storylines to make audiences root for relationships that we absolutely should not be rooting for. Not today. Not f*****g today. Then we answer some of your questions! And finally, Peak, Pit & Plot Twist.     Voice Noting with Jonty about how we met, Tourette’s & what the F*CK is tea?!

    Hello my sweet angel babies! Welcome back to Voice Notes with George and we have a very exciting first.. a guest! And honestly, potentially my last because this was never meant to be a guest podcast, but I love him, you all love him and if we ever break up I am fairly certain most of you will choose him. It's Jonty. My should-be husband, father of my children and a man who apparently can go days without checking social media. I cannot relate. In this very special little bonus voice note, we finally tell the story of how Jonty and I met, including the fact that we'd unknowingly been in the same room MANY times before actually meeting. We also chat about our relationship, the very rare occasion Jonty and I bonded over mutually disliking someone, and what it's like being with a man who is somehow both incredibly patient and living on a completely different internet planet to me. Jonty also opens up about living with tics and his experience with Tourette's. We chat about what a tic actually feels like, trying to suppress them, how they've changed throughout his life, the way Tourette's is represented in TV and movies, and how he'd feel if one of our kiddos experienced the same thing. A very big thank you to Jonty for being so open about something personal and letting us into a part of his life that you might not have known about before.     Voice Noting about fugly animals, Earle meets world and camping.

    Hello my sweet angel babies! Welcome back to Voice Notes with George and VOICE NOTE NUMBER THREE!!! This week I have a rather shocking announcement to make. I am attempting to become a camping girl. Yes. Me. Why are you so surprised. We also chat about Earle Meets World, my thoughts on how overly produced some reality shows can feel and why sometimes I just want reality TV to trick me a little better. My Peak is the return of pumpkin spice season. I don't care what anyone has to say about it. My heart, soul and entire being are happy. And if anyone from Chobani is listening, I have not forgotten about the pumpkin spice flip you discontinued approximately five years ago. Emergency board meeting plsss. My Pit is getting a parking ticket while I was in hospital with my son, because apparently there was simply not enough happening that week. And finally, my Plot Twist. In this voice note we somehow travel from a Netflix documentary about religion, to my Catholic school days, to the very selfish reason I got my confirmation (spoiler: fashion), a beautiful nun fist pumping to Guy Sebastian, the absolute chokehold Summer Heights High had on Australia, and the Kath & Kim quote I used in my Tinder bio that my mum kindly informed me would only attract gay men. It's a journey. We also have our very first icks of the week, where I discuss people parking in Parents with Prams spots when they have no child in sight, men emerging from bathrooms while they're STILL doing up their pants and a very important PSA for anyone who ever sends me a voice note apologising for being petty. For Peak, Pit & Plot Twist, I talk about my little day in Melbourne and visiting the brand new Kip&Co store on Gertrude Street. Their very first store.If you know me, you know how deeply I lurrrrrve Kip&Co, and the store is honestly less of a store and more of a beautiful little dopamine-filled art gallery that I would happily move into. My Pit is my sister heading back to America and why this goodbye felt a little harder than usual. Then we finish with a spiral about something I've been thinking about a LOT lately, femwashing. I actually cannot believe I am saying that. 🥹 In this episode I chat about HBO’s Girls, launching my very own poddy, class action lawsuits (yes plural lol) my deeply niche anxiety about accidentally ending up in a Netflix true crime documentary, anddddd the beef I have with Google. Because apparently I have beef with corporations now??? I also mention a podcast called Children in the Pictures by Secrets We Keep. I do want to pop a little content warning on this one because it is a very heavy listen and discusses some really difficult topics that have genuinely stayed with me and changed me as a person.
