    Ego vs Love

    This week on Sisters in Spirit, we’re getting real about ego, pride, and what it actually looks like to choose love, especially when it’s the harder option. We unpack how ego can sneak into our relationships, parenting, and even our walk with God. From wanting to have the last word to learning how to apologise (yes, even to our kids!), we share our own experiences of recognising pride, letting go of defensiveness, and allowing God to soften our hearts. Steph Bailey also shares how our childhood experiences can shape our reactions as adults, while Steph C opens up about learning to lead with love rather than using scripture to prove a point.     The "Perfect" Christian

    Are we putting more pressure on ourselves to be the “perfect Christian” than actually growing closer to Jesus? In this episode, Steph & Steph get real about the expectations, judgement and pressure that can come with walking in faith. From feeling like you’re not a “good enough Christian” to navigating the opinions of others, we unpack what it really means to follow Jesus while still being imperfect. We chat about the difference between loving correction and judgement, why Scripture reminds us to examine our own hearts before pointing out someone else’s flaws (Matthew 7:3–5), and how easily faith can become about appearances rather than genuine transformation.     Biblical Parenting in a Modern World

    How do we raise our kids in a world that tells us a million different ways to parent… while keeping God at the centre of it all? 🤍 This week, we’re talking all things parenting.. discipline, tantrums, consequences, prayer, gratitude, breaking generational cycles and what the Bible actually teaches us about raising our children. We get real about why we don’t necessarily resonate with every part of modern “gentle parenting,” while also recognising that biblical discipline doesn’t mean parenting without gentleness, patience or grace. We talk about staying firm without being harsh, repairing with our kids when we get it wrong, and choosing consequences that actually make sense. We also share the little ways we’re bringing Jesus into our homes every day.. bedtime and morning prayers, worship music in the car, Bible stories, gratitude, teaching the fruits of the Spirit and, most importantly, trying to model the faith we hope our children will one day choose for themselves.     God, What About My Health?

    After some big revelations on a recent trip away, Steph C shares what God has been showing her about grief, healing, Hashimoto’s and the parts of life we sometimes try to handle on our own. Steph B gives us a house hunting update! We talk about what it looks like to bring EVERYTHING to God.. even the things you think you should be able to figure out yourself.. and why we shouldn’t be afraid to ask Him for healing, guidance and the desires of our hearts.     Churches & Exes

    How do you actually know if a church is the right church for you? 👀 This week we’re chatting all things Churches finding one, knowing what to look for, discerning where God might be leading you and what happens when your experience with church hasn’t exactly been a good one. We also want to acknowledge anyone who has ever been hurt, judged or burnt by the church.     Dealing With the Haters (The Christian Way) + Church Hurt

    Okay… “haters” might be a little dramatic 😂 This week we’re talking about what happens when the people around you don’t understand, agree with or support your walk with Jesus.. and how we’re learning to respond without judgement, defensiveness or feeling like we need to prove ourselves. We chat about staying grounded in your faith when people challenge it, remembering that everyone is on their own journey, and what loving people through disagreement can actually look like.
