Episode 11: Wild Love I The Power of Name

Send us Fan Mail Wild Love I: The Power of Name Manawee, Bluebeard Energy, and Being Known Without Losing Yourself How do we love and be loved without losing ourselves? Welcome to The Alchemy of Intuition: Rebirthing the Dark and Divine Feminine, a podcast for soul-led women exploring intuition, healing, shadow work, empowerment, and sacred wisdom. I’m Dr. Tiffany McBride, and in this episode we begin Wild Love, a two-part series: two old stories across two episodes, and one question underneath both. Drawing on Clarissa Pinkola Estés and Women Who Run With the Wolves, I tell the story of Manawee, a young man, a scruffy little dog, and two sisters whose true names he can’t guess. Then we take it apart: the two sides inside every woman, the difference between Bluebeard energy and Manawee energy, and why a name carries so much power. Both energies can show up in a partner, a friend, a family member, or in your own head. And if you’re a man listening, I have a message for you, because this story is about what it takes to be close to a woman’s full nature, not just her surface. We bring the story into the age of the swipe. We talk about love bombing (“nutmeg on the wind”), how to tell real interest from a bomb, and why the way someone responds when you say “I’d like to take it slower” tells you almost everything. We also talk about what to do if you’re the one who falls fast and loud. I also share my own two names, Dr. Tiffany McBride and Madeline “Maddie” Hatter, and some of my experience with Bluebeard and Manawee energy. Six ways to learn someone’s name (written with partners in mind, and good for anyone who loves anyone): Notice what’s easy to see and what isn’t.Keep returning after getting it wrong.Get close enough to actually listen.Resist the tempting distractions.Protect what you learn.Say the name back to them.Five ways to teach your names: Name your own two selves out loud, even just to yourself first.Offer the deeper answer, not just the polite one.Let your wild side be witnessed on purpose.Notice who stays curious.Keep returning. We close with a long guided meditation, The Two Names, followed by journaling prompts and something to do this week. Content note: this episode discusses love bombing and controlling relationships and mentions the National Domestic Violence Hotline (1-800-799-7233). The guided meditation is not for listening while driving. This is part of our season of wild-woman stories. Wild Love is a two-part series, and Wild Love II arrives in Episode 13, where we meet a woman at the bottom of the sea, a fisherman who runs, and a dance with death itself. Episode 10: The Design of You: Human Design, Intuition & Authentic Alignment with Kelly Myerson

Send us Fan Mail The Design of You: Human Design, Intuition & Authentic Alignment with Kelly Myerson  What if the way you make decisions, spend your energy, and burn out was never a flaw, and was simply your design?  In this episode, Dr. Tiffany McBride welcomes Kelly Myerson, an occupational therapist, human design mentor, and transformational guide who helps people understand themselves through the lens of energy, intuition, and authentic living. For years Kelly supported children with complex medical needs, and that experience gave her a rare bridge between evidence-based healthcare and the practical wisdom of human design. Tiffany also had Kelly break down a little of her own chart, so this conversation is part geek-out, part reunion.  They begin with how Kelly first found human design, and with how she grasped onto being a manifesting generator before she really understood her chart. From there they walk through the four types, why strategy and authority matter more than the label, and what it feels like when you’re in or out of alignment: satisfaction and frustration, success and bitterness, peace and anger. Kelly explains “functional burnout,” where you keep showing up and masking that you’re fine, and why saying yes in the moment can leave you depleted.  Kelly also shares how her training in sensory integration and the nervous system (fight, flight, freeze, and fawn) connects to human design, and how your chart can point to where a core wound becomes a core talent. Together they talk about open centers and absorbing other people’s emotions, the profile lines (Kelly’s 1/3 and Tiffany’s 4/6), and why deconstructing everything that isn’t you is the shadow work that leads to freedom. They also bust common myths: you are not “just” your type, your chart is not fixed, and you don’t have to choose between human design and astrology, tarot, or the Akashic records.  The conversation closes with how human design and intuition meet, a first step for skeptics, and Kelly’s reminder that you don’t need to feel overwhelmed. You start with your strategy and authority, and there are people here to help.  In this episode:  Kelly’s story: from a Facebook rabbit hole in 2019 to guiding others through their chartsThe four types (generators, manifestors, projectors, and reflectors) and the manifesting generatorWhy strategy and authority are the first place to start, no matter whatAlignment indicators: frustration, bitterness, anger, peace, and why they aren’t “good” or “bad” feelingsFunctional burnout, and why “just because you can do doesn’t mean you should do”Deciding from the body, not the head: sacral yes and no vs. emotional authority and waiting for the waveOpen centers, conditioning, and how to tell what’s yours from what you’ve absorbed from othersThe nervous system, fight/flight/freeze/fawn, and people-pleasing as conditioningCore wound to core talent: how your chart can turn what you were told was wrong into your giftDeconstruction as shadow work, and why being “too much” is right for the people who resonateProfile lines, and how a 1/3 and a 4/6 move through the world differentlyWhat human design is and where it comes from: your energetic blueprint, the nine centers, gates, and channelsMyths: living and breathing your type, thinking your chart is fixed, and having to choose one systemTransits, and borrowing someone else’s energy in a team, a family, or a friendshipHuman design and intuition: how knowing your design is a way back to your inner knowingKelly’s closing message:  “Isn't this amazing? And am I not such a perfect design as I am?" Show Notes: How to Find Your Human Design  New to human design? Here’s where to start, based on what Kelly shares in this episode.  Gather your birth details. Your chart is based on your date, time, and place of birth. Find your birth time if you can, since it matters.Generate your chart. Run your design on Kelly’s website to get your chart as a PDF. Or book a session with Kelly, and she’ll run it for you and send a link to an interactive chart. You can click on each part of it to see a plain-language explanation.Find your type. There are four: generators (which include manifesting generators), manifestors, projectors, and reflectors. Kelly’s advice is not to spend too long here. Your type is a starting point, not a box.Learn your strategy and authority. This is the most important step. Your strategy is how you’re designed to engage with life, and your authority is how you make decisions. Kelly says that if you take one thing from this episode, this is it.Experiment. Notice your alignment indicators (for example satisfaction vs. frustration, or peace vs. anger). Before your next big yes, try pausing to listen to your body.Ask for help. Book Kelly’s free 30-minute session, where she’ll look at your chart with you and explain what she sees. It’s no pressure, and as she says, “This is not dogma. It’s not religion.”Show Notes: Guest Links & Highlights 🌟 Guest: Kelly Myerson, occupational therapist, human design mentor, and transformational guide 🌐 Website / run your free chart → https://kelly-myerson-humandesign.bodygraph.cc/ 📅 Book a free 30-minute session →  https://calendly.com/kellymyerson/building-the-bridge-conversation 🎧 Bridges and Beacons Podcast (formerly the Mystic Nerd Squad Podcast) → https://thebridgesandbeaconspodcast.buzzsprout.com/ ✍️ Kelly on Substack → https://substack.com/@mysticnerdmusings 💼 Kelly on LinkedIn → https://www.linkedin.com/in/kelly-myerson-b6217843/ 📖 Mentioned in this episode  Parenting the Child You Have by April Porter → https://a.co/d/07BJq5uJRa Uru Hu (founder of Human Design) and Dr. Karen Curry Parker (Quantum Human Design) Ra Uru Hu (founder) The Definitive Book of Human Design: The Science of Differentiation, by Ra Uru Hu and Lynda Bunnell. Episode 9: The Doll That Knows

Send us Fan Mail The Doll That Knows: Vasilisa and the Nine Tasks of Feeding Your Intuition  You already have intuition. This episode is about learning to trust it, feed it, and let it lead. A girl's mother is dying. She leaves her daughter no money, advice, or plan, only a small doll and one instruction: keep her close, feed her when you're in trouble, and she will help you. Then the girl is sent alone into the dark forest to fetch fire from the most feared woman in Russian folklore. On The Alchemy of Intuition: Rebirthing the Dark and Divine Feminine, Dr. Tiffany McBride tells the whole story of Vasilisa and Baba Yaga, drawing on Clarissa Pinkola Estés's Women Who Run With the Wolves. Then she goes back through it in nine tasks, because the tale is built like an initiation, one step at a time. After each task she leaves you with a question to pause on. She also shares her own answers, including her mother, her stepfather's voice, and the places she's still stepping out of hiding. You'll learn why intuition is a whole constellation of senses, why being sweet and accommodating doesn't protect us, how to stand in front of raw power without running, and what it means to keep consulting your inner fire instead of only in a crisis. The episode closes with a guided meditation, three journal prompts, and a simple practice for the week. This is episode 4 in our season of wild-woman stories, after the Wild Woman, La Loba, and Bluebeard. Show notes The nine tasks, with the question for each Letting the too-good mother die. Episode 8: There's a Prophecy for You: Grief, Frequency & Leading from Your Soul's Calling with Carolini Arco

Send us Fan Mail There's a Prophecy for You: Grief, Frequency & Leading from Your Soul's Calling with Caroline Arco  What if the thing that breaks you open is the same thing that brings your power home?  In this episode, Dr. Tiffany McBride (aka Maddie) welcomes Caroline Arco, a writer, speaker, and mentor who has guided more than 4,000 people across multiple countries through mentorship and transformational experiences. Caroline contributed a chapter to Tiffany's book, The Alchemy of Intuition, and she's also been Tiffany's mentor since February, so this conversation is personal.  They begin in rural Brazil, with a blank form and a question a 15-year-old couldn't answer, and follow the thread to a theater classroom in a slum school, where a group of children cracked Caroline's world wide open. From there we move through frequency and the intelligence of the energetic body, the story behind the mantra "I am an energetic match for financial miracles," and what separates leadership guided by consciousness from leadership guided by ego.  Caroline also shares, with remarkable honesty, how three years of profound loss became one of her greatest teachers. She explains why grief is a portal rather than something to survive, and how it brought her power back home. The conversation closes with how to find a mentor who is actually right for you, and a closing message for any woman who feels the pull of awakening but is afraid of what it will ask of her.  Content note: this episode includes discussion of grief, death, and pregnancy loss.  In this episode:  Caroline's story: the blank form at 15 and what not knowing taught herWalking into a slum school theater classroom, and understanding privilege and humanity for the first timeWhy theater and psychodrama are "self-development on steroids"How to recognize the glimpse of your soul's calling by going back to your inner child as a teacherFrequency: why the mind is the tool, but consciousness leadsThe story behind "I am an energetic match for financial miracles" and the idea that money is an expanderMoving out of victim consciousness and into ownership of your lifeSensitivity vs. fragility, and why spiritual awakening needs emotional resilienceConsciousness-led leadership vs. ego-led leadership (and why people-pleasing is a form of ego)Grief as a portal, and why witnesses matter more than fixersManifestation as stewardship rather than personal desireHow to choose a mentor: what to look for and what to ask before you commitCaroline's closing message: choose which fear you're willing to takeShow Notes — Reflection Prompts From This Episode Inner Child as Teacher: Instead of going back to your inner child to heal her, go back to her as the embodiment of your higher self. Episode 7: The Dark Feminine - Hekate

Send us Fan Mail Episode 7: The Dark Goddess — Naming the Dark Feminine and Meeting Hekate at the Crossroads  What if the parts of yourself you've been taught to fear — your rage, your ambition, your no — aren't the parts that need to be fixed, but the parts that were never broken in the first place?  In this episode, Dr. Tiffany McBride opens a new series exploring the dark and light feminine, starting by reclaiming what "dark" actually means: not evil, not villainy, but the untamed, assertive, boundary-setting side of a woman's nature — her anger, her ambition, her sensuality, her refusal to shrink. Tiffany walks through why this work isn't about becoming dangerous, but about integration and wholeness: having access to both softness and fire.  The episode moves into reflection, live exercises, and a guided visualization to meet Hekate — goddess of the crossroads, the underworld, and the dark moon — who doesn't rescue you from your decisions, but hands you the torch to see the road yourself.  In this episode:  What the dark feminine actually means (and what it doesn't)Why this work is about wholeness, not choosing a sideThe difference between shadow and shameTwo reflection questions on where your intensity first got labeled a problemAn intention-setting exercise and a personal ritual with a candleWho Hekate is: her mythology, symbols, and why she was later recast as a "scary witch"A guided visualization: Standing at the CrossroadsThe Dark Moon Clarity PracticeShow Notes — Exercises in This Episode Reflection Question 1: Where did you first learn that your intensity was a problem? Episode 6: Remember Your Roots: Ancestry, Plant Medicine, & Trusting Your Heart with Christine Falcon-Daigle

Send us Fan Mail Sometimes the most radical thing a woman can do is walk away from the thing that looks like safety. In this episode, Dr. Tiffany McBride sits down with her sister-friend Christine Falcon-Daigle: award-winning filmmaker, author, poet, women's circle facilitator, and founder of Transformity Collective. It's the one-year anniversary of their pilgrimage to Ireland, and what unfolds is one of the most vulnerable conversations on the podcast so far. Christine traces the threads of her lineage. Her father was raised believing he was Danish, until a DNA test revealed an Irish lineage he never knew about. Her mother's line runs through Spain and Mexico, and she was raised in a Roman Catholic family. She names the wounds she has walked through: the mother and sister wounds, growing up in an alcoholic home, getting sober at 19, a divorce, and a pandemic-era collapse of panic attacks and night terrors that forced her to stop. She also names what met her there: gardens, guided plant medicine, breathwork, healing writing circles, and the land itself. Then she tells the story of leaving her long-time career at the Hoffman Institute, and why it wasn't a logical decision. It was an inner knowing. If you've been staying somewhere safe while a quiet voice keeps asking you to leave, this one is for you. Content note: This episode includes conversation about addiction and recovery, trauma, panic, grief, and psychedelic plant medicine. She holds an MFA in writing and consciousness and a certificate in horticultural therapy, and she has designed and installed labyrinths, gardens, and healing programs for diverse populations. Raised Roman Catholic as the daughter of a military veteran with Midwestern roots, Christine has spent years uncovering a lineage far wider than the one she was handed. A DNA test revealed Irish ancestry through her father's mother, whom she never met. Her mother's side traces to Spain and to Mexico. Christine sees herself as a bridge between old world and new, and that understanding fuels her work on the mother wound, the sister wound, and healing through land and story. After more than a decade at the Hoffman Institute, where she led enrollment and supported adults through personal transformation, Christine founded Transformanity Collective in 2022 to bring together healing arts professionals across the San Francisco Bay Area into collaboration. In this episode, Dr. Tiffany McBride sits with the fairy tale of Bluebeard, drawing on Clarissa Pinkola Estés' Women Who Run With the Wolves, not as a story about a murderous husband, but as one of the oldest, most exact descriptions of what it feels like when your own instinct tries to warn you — and how easily we're trained to override it anyway. Tiffany breaks down what Bluebeard actually represents symbolically (hint: it's the inner critic, the "predator" part of the psyche that keeps our sexuality, intuition, and worth locked away), why the blood on the key can never be scrubbed clean once you've truly seen something, and Estés' four key questions for recognizing your own locked doors. The episode closes with a guided meditation to reconnect with the felt sense of instinct in the body. Episode 4: The Bone Collector

Send us Fan Mail La Loba and the Art of Gathering What's Been Left for Dead  "Buried is not the same as dead. Bone is not soft tissue. It doesn't decompose the way flesh does." What if nothing you've lost is actually gone? In this episode, Dr. Tiffany McBride shares the story of La Loba — the old woman of the desert from Clarissa Pinkola Estés' Women Who Run with Wolves — who spends her life gathering bones that everyone else has left for dead, singing over them until they rise again. This teaching, born out of Tiffany's live women's circle, is an invitation to notice the dreams, versions of yourself, and pieces of your own instinctual nature that haven't disappeared — only gone quiet, buried under years of practicality, grief, and expectation. Tiffany speaks candidly about her own buried bones, walks through what it actually feels like to carry a dream you stopped mentioning, and closes with a guided meditation to help you meet your own "bone woman" and receive a message on your healing path. Episode 3: Sacred Menopause, Sovereignty & Ceremony with Reverend Dr. Ahriana Platten

Send us Fan Mail In this special episode, Dr. Tiffany McBride sits down with Reverend Dr. Ahriana Platten — a human potential coach who has spent over three decades gathering with elders from more than 250 tribes and traditions across five continents, and the author of Sacred Menopause: A Woman's Guide to Sovereignty and Rites and Rituals.  Ahriana and Tiffany dive into menopause not as decline, but as an initiation — a rite of passage into sovereignty, wisdom, and embodied power. They talk about the cultural and medical lies women have been told about this transition, why ceremony works when willpower alone doesn't, and how the ancient myth of the Descent of Inanna maps directly onto the menopausal journey.  In this episode:  Ahriana's journey gathering wisdom from 250+ tribes and traditionsWhy menopause is a rite of sovereignty, not declineThe four stages of the alchemical process: black moon, white moon, red moon, medicine moonThe myth of the Descent of Inanna and what it teaches about shedding old identitiesWhy ceremony creates change that talk therapy and willpower can'tSimple, doable entry points into ritual (yes, even brushing your teeth)A look inside Ahriana's Sacred Menopause app and communityShow Notes — Links  🧭 Sacred Menopause App → sacredmenopauseapp.com  🌍 A Soulful World → asoulfullworld.com  📖 Sacred Menopause: A Woman's Guide to Sovereignty  → https://a.co/d/07GBUXDS 👨‍👩‍👧 Ahriana’s husband, Mark Platten — helping men through menopause → https://youtube.com/@menmidlifemenopause?si=kapVXJ1R4Jt8cJJU 🌙 Your website → https://www.themysticmuse.org  📖 The Alchemy of Intuition → https://a.co/d/0bFLxPoy  📸 Instagram → https://www.instagram.com/witchycrowwmn83/  📘 Facebook → https://www.facebook.com/share/1cXFLPC5Rm/?mibextid=wwXIfr  Support the show The Alchemy of Intuition is hosted by Dr. Tiffany McBride, shamanic doctor, healing arts minister, and licensed clinical therapist. Episode 2: The Wild Woman

Send us Fan Mail We are not going on without her any longer. In this episode, Dr. Tiffany McBride introduces the Wild Woman — the instinctual, whole, un-domesticated part of every woman that gets buried under performance, smallness, and "should." Drawing on Clarissa Pinkola Estés' Women Who Run with Wolves, Tiffany explores what it means to reclaim this nature, why she goes underground in the first place, and how to call her back. In this episode: What the Wild Woman actually is (and isn't) — natural, not recklessThe traits healthy wolves and healthy women share: keen sensing, boundaries, devotion, roaming instinctA brief history of how institutions and the witch trials severed women from instinctual, embodied knowingWhat it looks like when a woman loses touch with her Wild Woman — and why it rarely announces itself as a crisisWhy fairy tales and old stories carry psychological "instructions" for reclaiming herA guided visualization to feel this nature, not just think about itA simple practice to try this week: observing nature and dancing alone, unwitnessedComing up next episode: sacred menopause, sovereignty, and ceremony with Reverend Dr. Ahriana Platten. 🐺 Mystery Circle Class Recording (1st Chapter) ($11) → https://www.themysticmuse.org/onlineclasses 📖 Women Who Run with Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estés → https://a.co/d/0dJgvJjA  📖 Book: The Alchemy of Intuition: Embodied Practices to Access Your Inner Voice → https://a.co/d/0bFLxPoy 🌙 Website / Book 1:1 Sessions, Classes, Workshops, Circles → https://www.themysticmuse.org 📸 Instagram → https://www.instagram.com/witchycrowwmn83/ 📘 Facebook → https://www.facebook.com/share/1cXFLPC5Rm/?mibextid=wwXIfr Support the show The Alchemy of Intuition is hosted by Dr. Tiffany McBride, shamanic doctor, healing arts minister, and licensed clinical therapist.
