NO TOX

Jesse Henry

Chemical warfare is being waged on human and planetary health. NO TOX exposes the hidden toxins in our thoughts, words, things, and relationships, and then shows you exactly what to do about it. Most people think detox means a green juice or a weekend cleanse. It doesn't. Toxicity lives in your body, your home, your relationships, and your mind, and it accumulates quietly while you go about your week. It's in the fragrance aisle, the lining of the can, the dust in your carpet, and the conversation you keep replaying at 2am. Almost nobody walking around today has an accurate read on their own toxic load. Every week, host Jesse Henry sits down with rebels. People who trusted a system, found out it was quietly making them sick, and then went and did something about it. The details are different every time, but similar patterns pop up time and time again. We look at toxicity in four places, because they feed each other: Thoughts. The loops and beliefs running underneath your decisions.Words. What you say about yourself, and what you let other people say about you.Things. What you eat, drink, breathe, wear, clean with, and sleep on.Relationships. The people, jobs, and environments that fuel you or crush you. Toxicity does not happen by accident. The chemistry in your bloodstream got there through a supply chain. You can filter your water and still be living downstream of decisions you never got a vote on. NO TOX goes upstream and downstream, from the people building cleaner chemistry to the ones treating the damage already done. Removing toxic chemistries from your life can result in optimized: Brain ChemistryGut BiomeHormone ProductionMetabolic HealthReproductive Health You'll learn how everyday products and habits could be quietly working against you, and how to tell a swap that matters from one that just feels productive. You'll learn why the order you detox in actually matters, why jumping straight to the advanced stuff before your body is ready can make you feel worse instead of better, and why chasing more supplements on top of a congested system is like renovating a house with a cracked foundation. You'll also learn how physical, mental, and emotional toxicity run on the same wiring, whether you've noticed it or not. Every episode closes with the NO TOX Question. Jesse asks each guest to name one toxin, tangible or intangible, that people should be way more aware of, and one practical way to start reducing it. Stack up a hundred of those answers and you have a reference library instead of a podcast feed. This show is for anyone who reads the labels and still feels off. The parent trying to work out what's actually worth worrying about, the founder who keeps getting told that clean can't be done at cost, the person who has optimized everything and still hit a ceiling they can't explain. This is for the person who is interested in truly sustainable living. Fear is easy to sell and useless to live with. NO TOX is about seeing your own situation clearly enough to act on it in a way that holds up for your home and the planet you live on. If we clear the foundation first, everything we build after that works better. New episodes weekly. Learn more at my.notox.tv.

Regenerative Agriculture: The Future of Food and Climate (with John Roulac)

John Roulac sold a billion dollars of organic food. Then he started testing what was in it. Seventy percent of the imported organic lots his company tested came back hot with banned pesticides. He rejected them. Those same lots went straight to his competitors and onto shelves with a USDA Organic seal on the front. When he told retailers, they said it wasn't their job. That's the guy I have on this week. John founded Nutiva in 1999 with 500 hemp seed bars sold out of his car. He built it to nearly a billion in retail sales and 30,000 stores. He put the first thirty thousand dollars into Kiss the Ground, the Netflix film that made regenerative agriculture a household phrase. He's founded seven nonprofits. He now runs Coco Clean, a plastic free detergent company he spent 32 months formulating because nobody else would. He got here because at 21 a radio DJ said a truck driver dumped nuclear waste nine miles from his house. What we get into: The two tier organic system. US lots go untested. European lots get tested and pass. Guess which ones end up in your cartWhy organic acreage is shrinking while organic sales climb, and why electing a different president won't fix itThe real reason seed oils took over America. It wasn't health. It was a byproduct problem the industry needed to unloadFourth generation chemical exposure, and what happens when each generation passes the load to the next through the umbilical cord and breast milkMillennials have half the testosterone John had at the same age. Boron is part of that story and almost nobody talks about itSelenium, boron, copper. The three minerals missing from the conversation and the foods that actually contain themNinety five percent of detergents sold today contain a synthetic dye that serves no function except marketingHow he got GMOs pulled from Cheerios and Hershey with a comment campaignFood forests in Guatemala, Kenya, and Malawi, where a nitrogen fixing tree planted every two meters replaced the fertilizer that isn't coming anymoreWhy he hired a 20 year old from Taco Bell who couldn't afford college, and what she was running four years laterThe biggest lie in the food system, and the bigger lie inside the movement fighting it John doesn't get invited to the cocktail parties anymore. He'll tell you why on air. If you switched to organic and figured you were covered, this one's going to be slightly uncomfortable. Good! That's the point. Transforming Health: A Journey from Corporate Life to Holistic Healing (with Meghan Swidler)

Everything in your life started as a thought. When the world shows up toxic, that didn't start at the factory. It started upstream. This is NO TOX. My first guest is Meghan Swidler. Cornell summa cum laude, tech startup life in San Francisco and New York, and a VC job offer in 2021 that looked like the dream on paper. Underneath it, she was disconnected, anxious, and dealing with cystic acne, gut issues, and a hormonal mess doctors kept dismissing. She quit that VC job the day after she started it. Today Meghan is a Functional Health and Detox Practitioner based in Venice, California, specializing in deep cellular cleansing and detoxification: colon, liver, lymphatic, parasite, mold, and heavy metal detox. She works with founders, entrepreneurs, and high performers who've already tried conventional and functional medicine and still can't shake gut issues, hormone imbalances, thyroid dysfunction, or chronic inflammation. Meghan is all in on the root cause, not symptom management. In this conversation, we talk about: The Mirena IUD that quietly destroyed her hormones for five years, and the doctor visit where she refused to leave until it came outWhy healing is about outputs, not inputsThe correct biological sequence for detox: colon, drainage, gut rebuild, liver, then advanced protocols like parasite and heavy metal detoxWhy skipping ahead before your drainage pathways are open makes you feel worse, not betterForty plus liver and gallbladder flushes, and what actually comes out of the bodyThe one question she asks clients to spot their own misalignment: does this create expansion, or contractionLosing her dog Tommy, a breakup, and a move to LA, and why she now sees it as the universe clearing space for herEMFs as the next invisible toxin nobody's talking aboutWhat makes her walk away as an angel investor in health tech, including Function Health and BeSound Health This is for the high achiever who did everything right on paper and still feels off. For anyone who's tried every protocol and still isn't better. For the guy who thinks detox is a woman's thing even though his sleep, drive, and energy tell him otherwise. Meghan is the author of From Within and From Deep Within, both on Amazon, and creator of The Cleanses, her guided digital detox program.
