Day 27: Letting the Peace of Christ Rule | 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge

Welcome to Day 27 of our 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge! 🤎 Today we’re continuing our final section, Our Home & Family Together, by praying for peace within our families and in our own hearts. 📖 Today’s Scripture: Colossians 3:15
🙏 Today’s Prayer Focus: Peace In Colossians 3:15, Paul encourages believers to let the peace of Christ rule in their hearts, reminding them that they have been called to peace as members of one body. What a beautiful reminder that the peace of Christ should influence the way we live and the way we treat one another. When we think about peace in our homes, we often imagine a house without arguments, disagreements, or stressful circumstances. And while those things certainly sound wonderful, biblical peace is about something deeper than simply having a quiet or trouble-free life. It’s about allowing the peace of Christ to guide our hearts and our relationships, even when life isn’t peaceful around us. As wives, mothers, grandmothers, and women who love our families, we know how quickly the atmosphere in a home can change. A difficult conversation, an unexpected disappointment, or even the stress of everyday responsibilities can leave everyone feeling frustrated or overwhelmed. And sometimes, if we’re not careful, we can allow those emotions to influence the way we respond to the people we love. Today we’re asking God to help our families develop hearts that are governed by the peace of Christ. We’re praying that our loved ones will seek peace in their relationships, respond to disagreements with humility and patience, and remember to give thanks even during difficult seasons. And we’re praying for ourselves too, asking God to help us recognize when worry, frustration, or impatience is beginning to influence our words and actions. Because a peaceful home isn’t necessarily a home without problems. It’s a home where we continually seek to let Christ’s peace shape the way we respond to them. Grab your Bible and something to write with, and let’s allow God’s Word to guide our prayers. Read it. Write it. Pray it. 🤎 Tomorrow we’ll continue with Day 28: Gracious Words — Colossians 4:6. My prayer is that together we can become women whose minds are shaped by God’s Word instead of by the world around us.

Day 26: Bound Together in Love | 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge

Welcome to Day 26 of our 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge! 🤎 Today we’re continuing our final section, Our Home & Family Together, by praying for unity within our families. 📖 Today’s Scripture: Colossians 3:14
🙏 Today’s Prayer Focus: Unity In Colossians 3, Paul encourages believers to put on compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. Then, in verse 14, he reminds us that above all these things, we are to put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. What a beautiful picture of the kind of love that should characterize our relationships! Unity doesn’t mean everyone always agrees. It means choosing to love one another even when we don’t. Every family is made up of different personalities, opinions, strengths, and weaknesses. And sometimes those differences can lead to misunderstandings, disagreements, and hurt feelings. As wives, mothers, grandmothers, and women who love our families, we naturally desire peace and closeness among the people we love. But true unity requires more than simply avoiding conflict. It requires humility, patience, forgiveness, and a willingness to put love into action. Today we’re asking God to help our families develop hearts that value unity, extend grace, and seek reconciliation when disagreements arise. We’re praying that love will guide our words, attitudes, and actions, especially during difficult conversations and challenging seasons. And we’re praying for ourselves too, asking God to help us recognize when our own pride, impatience, or desire to be right might be creating unnecessary division. Because the goal isn’t to have a family where everyone thinks alike or never disagrees. It’s to have a family where love holds us together, even through our differences. Grab your Bible and something to write with, and let’s allow God’s Word to guide our prayers. Read it. Write it. Pray it. 🤎 Tomorrow we’ll continue with Day 27: Peace — Colossians 3:15. My prayer is that together we can become women whose minds are shaped by God’s Word instead of by the world around us.

Day 25: Loving One Another God's Way | 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge

Welcome to Day 25 of our 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge! 🤎 Today we’re beginning our final section, Our Home & Family Together, by praying that our families will learn to love one another the way God calls us to love. 📖 Today’s Scripture: 1 Corinthians 13:4–7
🙏 Today’s Prayer Focus: Love In 1 Corinthians 13, Paul gives us a beautiful description of what genuine, Christlike love looks like. Love is patient. Love is kind. It isn’t envious, boastful, arrogant, or rude. It doesn’t insist on its own way, and it doesn’t keep a record of wrongs. And while we often hear these verses read at weddings, Paul was actually addressing believers in a church that was struggling with division, pride, and selfishness. Love isn’t simply something we feel. It’s something we’re called to practice. And sometimes the people we love the most are the very people with whom we struggle to demonstrate patience, kindness, and grace. As wives, mothers, grandmothers, and women who deeply love our families, we naturally want our homes to be filled with love. But today, we’re praying for something deeper than warm feelings or happy relationships. We’re asking God to help our families love one another in ways that reflect His Word. We’re praying for patience when someone is difficult, kindness when emotions are running high, humility when disagreements arise, and a willingness to put others before ourselves. And we’re praying for ourselves too, asking God to help us recognize the difference between simply saying we love someone and consistently demonstrating that love through our words and actions. Because a loving home isn’t a home where nobody ever disagrees or makes mistakes. It’s a home where we continually seek to treat one another with the kind of love God calls us to demonstrate. Grab your Bible and something to write with, and let’s allow God’s Word to guide our prayers. Read it. Write it. Pray it. 🤎 Tomorrow we’ll continue with Day 26: Unity — Colossians 3:14. My prayer is that together we can become women whose minds are shaped by God’s Word instead of by the world around us.

Day 24: Let Your Light Shine | 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge

Welcome to Day 24 of our 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge! 🤎 Today we’re continuing our section on Relationships & Purpose by praying that our families will live in ways that bring glory to God. 📖 Today’s Scripture: Matthew 5:16🙏 Today’s Prayer Focus: Glorifying God In Matthew 5:16, Jesus tells His followers to let their light shine before others so that people may see their good works and give glory to our Father in heaven. What a beautiful reminder that the way we live can point others toward God. And I love that Jesus doesn’t tell us to shine our light so that people will notice how wonderful we are. Instead, the purpose is for others to see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven. As wives, mothers, grandmothers, and women who love our families, we want the people we care about to make good choices, treat others with kindness, and live meaningful lives. But even more importantly, we want their lives to reflect the goodness and character of the God they serve. Today we’re asking God to help our families live with integrity, demonstrate genuine love, and recognize opportunities to serve and encourage the people around them. We’re praying that their words, attitudes, and actions will point others toward Christ—not because they’re trying to impress anyone, but because their hearts are being shaped by God’s Word. And we’re praying for ourselves too, asking God to help us remember that glorifying Him isn’t limited to big accomplishments or extraordinary acts of service. Sometimes our light shines brightest through simple acts of faithfulness, quiet kindness, patience, and love. May our families be known not for drawing attention to themselves, but for reflecting the goodness of God. Grab your Bible and something to write with, and let’s allow God’s Word to guide our prayers. Read it. Write it. Pray it. 🤎 Tomorrow we’ll begin our final section, Our Home & Family Together, with Day 25: Love — 1 Corinthians 13:4–7. My prayer is that together we can become women whose minds are shaped by God’s Word instead of by the world around us.

Day 23: Working for the Lord | 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge

Welcome to Day 23 of our 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge! 🤎 Today we’re continuing our section on Relationships & Purpose by praying for our families and the attitudes they bring to their work and everyday responsibilities. 📖 Today’s Scripture: Colossians 3:23
🙏 Today’s Prayer Focus: Work In Colossians 3:23, Paul reminds believers to work wholeheartedly, as though working for the Lord rather than for people. What a wonderful reminder that our work can be an opportunity to honor God, even in the most ordinary moments of life. And work doesn’t always mean a paying job! It might be going to school, caring for children, managing a household, serving in the church, or simply being faithful in the responsibilities God has placed before us. As wives, mothers, grandmothers, and women who love our families, we want the people we care about to succeed in their work, find fulfillment, and accomplish their goals. But even more importantly, we want them to develop hearts that seek to honor God in everything they do. Today we’re asking God to help our families approach their responsibilities with diligence, integrity, gratitude, and a willingness to do their best—even when no one is watching. We’re also praying that they will remember their worth isn’t determined by their accomplishments, their job titles, or the recognition they receive from others. And we’re praying for ourselves too, asking God to help us approach our everyday responsibilities with a heart of service rather than frustration or resentment. Because whether we’re working in an office, studying for an exam, caring for our families, or washing another sink full of dishes, we can choose to do our work in a way that honors the Lord. Grab your Bible and something to write with, and let’s allow God’s Word to guide our prayers. Read it. Write it. Pray it. 🤎 Tomorrow we’ll continue with Day 24: Glorifying God — Matthew 5:16. My prayer is that together we can become women whose minds are shaped by God’s Word instead of by the world around us.

Day 22: Using Our Gifts to Serve God | 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge

Welcome to Day 22 of our 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge! 🤎 Today we’re continuing our section on Relationships & Purpose by praying that our families will recognize and use the gifts God has given them to serve others. 📖 Today’s Scripture: 1 Peter 4:10
🙏 Today’s Prayer Focus: Using Our Gifts to Serve In 1 Peter 4:10, we’re reminded that each believer has received a gift and is called to use it to serve others as a faithful steward of God’s grace. What a beautiful reminder that the gifts God gives us aren’t just for our own benefit. They’re opportunities to bless and serve the people around us. Sometimes we think serving God requires a special talent, a ministry position, or something extraordinary. But serving others can happen in the simplest, most ordinary moments of our lives. Whether it’s offering encouragement, showing hospitality, teaching, helping someone in need, or simply being willing to serve wherever there’s an opportunity, God can use our abilities for His purposes. As wives, mothers, grandmothers, and women who love our families, we want the people we care about to discover their strengths and abilities. But even more importantly, we want them to recognize that what God has entrusted to them can be used to bring glory to Him and serve others. Today we’re asking God to help our families recognize the gifts they’ve been given, develop hearts that are willing to serve, and faithfully use their abilities to encourage and bless others. And we’re praying for ourselves too, asking God to help us be faithful stewards of what He’s entrusted to us, rather than comparing our gifts or opportunities with someone else’s. Because serving God isn’t about having the most impressive gifts. It’s about faithfully using what we’ve been given. Grab your Bible and something to write with, and let’s allow God’s Word to guide our prayers. Read it. Write it. Pray it. 🤎 Tomorrow we’ll continue with Day 23: Work — Colossians 3:23. My prayer is that together we can become women whose minds are shaped by God’s Word instead of by the world around us.

Day 21: Choosing Forgiveness | 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge

Welcome to Day 21 of our 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge! 🤎 Today we’re continuing our section on Relationships & Purpose by praying for forgiveness—for our families and for ourselves. 📖 Today’s Scripture: Colossians 3:13
🙏 Today’s Prayer Focus: Forgiveness In Colossians 3, Paul reminds believers of the importance of bearing with one another and forgiving each other, just as the Lord has forgiven us. And what a powerful reminder that is! Forgiveness isn’t always easy, especially when the hurt comes from someone we love. Within our families, friendships, marriages, and churches, there will be misunderstandings, disappointments, and times when we hurt one another. Sometimes we’re the ones who have been hurt, and sometimes we’re the ones who need to ask for forgiveness. But as followers of Christ, we’re called to extend the forgiveness we’ve received from Him. Today we’re asking God to help our families develop hearts that are willing to forgive, humble enough to acknowledge when they’ve done wrong, and patient with the imperfections of others. We’re also praying that our loved ones will understand that forgiveness doesn’t mean pretending something didn’t happen or ignoring harmful behavior. We can forgive while still exercising wisdom and maintaining appropriate boundaries. And we’re praying for ourselves too, asking God to reveal any bitterness or resentment we may be holding on to and help us respond to others with the grace and mercy we’ve received through Christ. May our homes be places where forgiveness is practiced, grace is extended, and love is demonstrated—even when it’s difficult. Grab your Bible and something to write with, and let’s allow God’s Word to guide our prayers. Read it. Write it. Pray it. 🤎 Tomorrow we’ll continue with Day 22: Using Our Gifts to Serve — 1 Peter 4:10. My prayer is that together we can become women whose minds are shaped by God’s Word instead of by the world around us.

Day 20: Loving and Honoring Others | 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge

Welcome to Day 20 of our 30-Day Family Prayer Challenge! 🤎 Today we’re continuing our section on Relationships & Purpose by praying for the way our families treat others. 📖 Today’s Scripture: Romans 12:10
🙏 Today’s Prayer Focus: Treating Others In Romans 12, Paul encourages believers to demonstrate genuine love through their actions and relationships with one another. Romans 12:10 reminds us to love one another with brotherly affection and to outdo one another in showing honor. What a beautiful reminder that love isn’t just something we say—it’s something we demonstrate through the way we treat people. As wives, mothers, grandmothers, and women who love our families, we want the people we care about to be treated with kindness, patience, and respect. But today, we’re turning that prayer around a little. Instead of only praying that others will treat our families well, we’re praying that our families will treat others well. We’re asking God to help our loved ones develop hearts that genuinely care for others, show honor without expecting anything in return, and reflect the love of Christ in their everyday relationships. And we’re praying for ourselves too, because sometimes the people closest to us are the very ones we forget to treat with the same patience and kindness we extend to everyone else. Whether it’s in our marriages, our homes, our churches, or our everyday interactions, may we be women who lead by example in showing genuine love and honor. Grab your Bible and something to write with, and let’s allow God’s Word to guide our prayers. Read it. Write it. Pray it. 🤎 Tomorrow we’ll continue with Day 21: Forgiveness — Colossians 3:13. My prayer is that together we can become women whose minds are shaped by God’s Word instead of by the world around us.
