VII. Legion: I do love Big Lizard

Three hours of pure, unfiltered Alpha Legion chat and we still don't know who, where, or even if Alpharius is. We do, however, know who John Grammaticus is! And we wish we didn't have to.

VI. Descent of Angels: Bad cop, psychic cop

Hey, how'd this YA novel get into my epic space opera about brotherhood and war? And how is it also the most reactionary novel we've read yet?

  3. Sep 24

    V. Fulgrim: With sex sword in hand

We've dreaded this deep-dive into the corruptive influence of the Prince of Pleasure since the podcast began. It was so much worse than we could have ever imagined. Content warnings for discussions of explicit on-page sexual violence, a narrative that goes above and beyond in the service of misogyny, the author's apparent belief in the existence of "degenerate art", not one but TWO expository xenocides, and our highest Reaction score yet. Also, the prose is atrocious.

IV. The Flight of the Eisenstein: Almost immediately daemons

This week we take a surprisingly good pivot to hard sci-fi... well, hard sci-fi if you ignore all the daemons.

III. Galaxy in Flames: The skulls are infrastructural

Horus decides to put his house in order by way of an incidental genocide, and a lot of Thunderhawk gunships get stolen because people apparently just keep leaving the keys in them.
