Adjusting for investor purchases, roughly one-third of the Baltimore region’s homebuyers are able to make all-cash purchases. And when you look at areas with limited inventory and higher home values, that percentage drops to as low as 12 percent. That means most Baltimore homebuyers, probably just like you and me, are taking out mortgages.
