VOICES OF THE WOMB

Agere Teshale

Voices of the Womb is an audio portrait series exploring birth, parenthood, and community through the voices of those who live it every day — midwives, doulas, mothers, fathers, grandmothers, and community builders working at the heart of Black maternal and family care. Topics covered include midwifery and doula care, birth equity, fatherhood, motherhood, community health, and intergenerational caregiving. Voices of the Womb is a project of The Desta Project, a community-centered initiative focused on maternal and family care from birth through the whole life of the village. New episode every week.
