Episode 4: "Build It And They Will Come"

The investigation reaches new heights with the arrival of the replacement stop sign. Gorgeous, statuesque, shiny and professionally installed… how much does this all cost? Throughout this episode, your intrepid investigator asks the question: What else can we spend our collective tax dollars on? If we can afford to replace mowed down stop signs, can we afford… benches? Trees to line sidewalks? Perhaps even… a bike lane network? In this thrilling conclusion episode, we explore a vision of the future, one where human movement is possible and for some, even preferred. A Huntingdon where you can pick up your poutine, your library books and visit your friends in all one seamless, safe and pleasant trip. Do you see the vision? Featuring interviews with Huntingdon residents: Jenny, Kim, Carmen and Greg. Many thanks for your hard work and your bravery in sharing your stories. Featuring interviews with Jean-François Rheault from Vélo Québec, Séverine Renard from Piétons Québec, Rémi Laurent from Cyclo Nord-Sud and Dr Ahmed El-Geneidy from McGill University. Thank you for your time, patience and enthusiasm for discussing road safety for this project. And of course: Thank you to Kevin, my beloved husband. For listening to me all summer rant about road safety, taking care of dinner while I fussed over miniscule edits and indulging me while I showed you what I had created. Thank you, I love you. Please don't worry too much about me.
