Audra Salinas

Audra shares outrageous stories from years in the legal field: wild clients, egomaniacal attorneys, courtroom chaos, impossible deadlines, and the moments that follow you home long after the case file closes. Dark humor, sarcasm, drama, and the kind of legal stories you definitely won’t hear in court.

Episode 8: The One Where Nobody Read the Room

Episode 8: The One Where Nobody Read the Room Some people have no business opening their mouths in a courtroom. Others probably shouldn't be in charge of an office. This week on Paralegal Nightmares, we're diving into a trial that was doomed before it began, deposition and courtroom moments you genuinely couldn't make up, and a corporate power trip with an ending that's almost too satisfying to believe. Three true stories filled with questionable judgment, spectacular audacity, and people who clearly didn't read the room. The names have changed, but the nightmares are real.

Ep 7: The One Where Everything Goes Off the Rails

Some situations start out perfectly normal. And then somebody opens their mouth. This week on Paralegal Nightmares, we're dealing with questionable judgment, unnecessary drama, and people who have a remarkable ability to make an already complicated situation even worse. From workplace politics to personal disputes that somehow become everybody else's problem, these three stories are proof that reality is often more ridiculous than anything Hollywood could come up with. Plus, we're featuring our very first listener-submitted Paralegal Nightmare! Three stories. Plenty of audacity. Absolutely no shortage of bad decisions. New episodes every Monday. Got a nightmare of your own? Submit it at paralegalnightmares.com. Always get it in writing, or else it didn't happen.

Ep 6: The One Where All Rise for the Circus

Courtroom tantrums, trial disasters, and a mediator who apparently had better things to do. This week on Paralegal Nightmares, we're diving into three unforgettable experiences from the legal trenches. From a judge determined to get his way, to a terrifying discovery in the middle of trial, to a mediation that tested every ounce of patience I had left. Because sometimes the biggest nightmares in the legal profession aren't the cases themselves. They're the people handling them. Pull up a chair, grab your coffee, and prepare for another trip behind the esquire. 🎙️ Paralegal Nightmares | Where sarcasm is a must just to survive the day. Names and identifying details may be changed to protect those involved.

Ep 5: The One Where the Red Flags Were Everywhere

This week on Paralegal Nightmares, things get progressively more unhinged. First, Audra tries to responsibly hire someone who could eventually take over her caseload, only to discover that her new hire came with a few surprises no résumé was going to explain. Then Sheila returns for a mandatory office retreat at a hunting ranch, where a late night around the campfire turns into an unexpected all-night respiratory watch. And finally, in honor of October, Audra shares one of the creepiest nights she's experienced in a law office: late-night trial prep, an empty building, music playing from somewhere down a dark hallway, and an alarm system detecting movement when nobody else was supposed to be there. Names and identifying details may be changed, but the chaos is very real. I'm Audra. Welcome to Paralegal Nightmares. Email 📧 paralegalnightmarespod@gmail.com IG @paralegalnightmares

Ep 4: The One Where Professionalism Left the Chat

An opposing counsel who wanted us to do his job for him. An associate office drowning in unfinished work, chaos, and literal piles of paper. And a managing partner who could turn 4:45 p.m. into a full-blown emergency. In Episode 4, we’re talking about the people who make an already stressful legal career even harder, from ridiculous discovery battles and courtroom drama to dysfunctional offices and bosses who think your time belongs to them. Names and identifying details may be changed, but the chaos is very real.

Ep 3: The One With The Horrible Bosses

Some people manage. Some people supervise. And some people make you question how they ever ended up in charge of anybody. This week, we're digging into workplace chaos, questionable judgment, office politics, and the kind of personalities that can turn a normal workday into a full-blown nightmare. Names and identifying details have been changed, but the chaos is very real. I’m Audra. Welcome to Paralegal Nightmares.

Ep 2: The one with the all the GREED

Welcome back to Paralegal Nightmares, where getting the settlement is apparently only the beginning of the problem. In this episode: a six-figure policy limits settlement turns into a full-blown battle over liens, money, and who exactly thought they were retiring off this case. Then, a routine car accident claim starts falling apart when the insurance adjuster does what adjusters do best: asks everybody what happened... separately. Because sometimes the biggest problem with a story is that everybody involved forgot to tell the same one. Names and identifying details may be changed, but the chaos is very real. I’m Audra. Welcome to Paralegal Nightmares.

Ep 1: The One Where the Clients Are a Hot Mess

Welcome to Paralegal Nightmares, where the legal world is somehow even messier behind the scenes than it looks from the outside. In this episode: a client whose story collides with surveillance footage, another who takes settlement paperwork very personally, and a family that unravels over money after the death of their mother. Names and identifying details may be changed, but the chaos is very real. I’m Audra. Welcome to Paralegal Nightmares.
