PMFL Podcast.S8.E9 - An Unexpected Strigiform

I was told we were having the Skunkle on tonight. So was the Younghoe. Only one of us was particularly pleased when the Owl appeared. Welcome back to the PMFL Podcast, where Week 7’s results have been confirmed and several managers are still attempting to negotiate with them. The Owl enters the booth fresh from defeating Fuj, who has historically maintained that this has never happened. An uncomfortable evening follows for the league’s least reliable archivist. Zoo then presents a Halloween blind auction in which managers spend actual money on theoretical fantasy advantages. Rebrands, panic substitutions, mid-match ChugBrews and strategically deployed group-chat abuse all receive the sort of financial scrutiny usually reserved for a business with customers. Somewhere in this process, a targeted rebrand becomes a winning strategy. I continue to be paid nothing. Tonight’s proceedings include: A surprise guest, wounded pride and an urgent revision of the Younghoe’s historical records.Zoo’s spooktacular auction: how much would you pay for a two-percent edge obtained through psychological harassment?A debate over which managerial rituals offer an advantage and which simply help identify an idiot. The Cold Hustlers gathering momentum, the Households finally winning a game, and Tokyo escaping through a window somebody should have locked.Injuries, disputed waiver bids and the weekly search for a running back with two functioning legs and an available roster designation. There is football analysis. There are playoff implications. There are also grown men assigning monetary value to changing a team name specifically to upset another grown man. Join Cap’n D, Mr. Hungry, the Younghoe and our unexpected feathered visitor for another evening of the PMFL Podcast. I would recommend headphones. Particularly if you live with somebody who still respects you. — Al Michaels, The PMFL Gazette

PMFL Podcast.S8.E8 - Simethicone! For Fast Gaus Relief!

I’m Al Michaels. I’ve called Super Bowls, witnessed miracles, and now I’m writing promotional copy for four men debating whether a professional athlete qualifies as a “used cum rag.” My application for dental coverage remains under review. This week, Cap'n D, Mr. Hungry and Younghoe Fuj welcome the Cold Hustler—fresh from his honeymoon and a victory over the previously undefeated Tokyo Titans. Hoss has returned with a wife, renewed confidence and considerably more material for an introductory song than any guest should reasonably provide. The booth dissects a miserable Week Six, with half the league failing to reach a hundred points. Tokyo’s perfect season ends, the Skunk makes life unpleasant for Tooth & Claw, and the remaining managers attempt to explain why their particular disappointment was unforeseeable. Apparently, everyone conducted excellent research. The players simply refused to cooperate. Then it’s on to Rivalry Week, headlined by Cap’n versus the Gridiron Gausman. The commissioner has temporarily renamed his team Simethicone and announced his own victory in advance. Gaus has issued a competing guarantee. I would recommend letting the football decide, but that would deprive these men of six days of deeply unnecessary correspondence. Elsewhere in the episode: The waiver-wire inquest: Rico Dowdle, Tyrone Tracy, Tank Dell, Omar Cooper Jr. and Jaleel McLaughlin come under scrutiny as the panel tries to distinguish opportunity from an expensive cry for help. The roster interrogation: Injuries, trade regret and lineup construction raise the familiar question: is this player worth keeping, or have you simply grown attached to the photograph? UCR discourse: A player-evaluation framework that will almost certainly prevent this podcast from obtaining respectable sponsorship. Jersey-bet scrutiny: Several confident preseason declarations continue their slow transformation into clothing purchases. A blind PMFL basketball auction draft: Because these people apparently need a second sport in which to spend money without knowing what they’re doing. There are arguments, accusations and occasional stretches of useful fantasy analysis before somebody remembers where they are. Listen now. Read the Gazette. And if anyone has a dentist who accepts exposure as payment, please contact me directly. The Commissioner Computer has recommended chewing on the other side. —Al MichaelsPMFL Gazette. PMFL Podcast.S8.E7 - The Hog of the Irish

The PMFL is back in full chaos mode: a negative-point quarterback, a resurrected Jared Goff, and a trade market that keeps exposing who actually has the stones to buy low. If you need a sharp, funny breakdown of the week that fantasy football officially went off the rails, this is the one to play. Captain D opens the show with the league-wide fallout from the Midnight Eagles' loss, while Mr. Hungry keeps the recap moving with the kind of ruthless analysis only a fantasy league can inspire. YZ brings the self-aware regret, owning a blockbuster missed trade involving Drake London and Brock Bowers, and Zoo's Uncut Gem does what he does best - turning roster decisions into full-on therapy sessions. You'll hear the crew break down: the highest-scoring matchup of the week and why Josh Allen, Christian Watson, Parker Washington, and Derrick Henry turned it into a shootoutthe agony of watching Thursday-night monster scores stick around for three daysthe collapse of the Hard Ons, the Stiffs' latest disaster, and why certain rosters are living and dying by the waiver wirethe two-QB fallacy, the Jared Goff waiver miracle, and the fab bids that actually matterblind rankings chaos, including NFL media personalities, league-wide hog rankings, and a few deeply questionable choices Cap'n D brings the league context and the running jokes, TannerTime anchors the recaps and trade talk, YZ adds the hard-earned fantasy regret, and Zoo's Uncut Gem delivers the sharpest self-roasts and most brutal roster commentary in the room. Together they make sense of the standings, the injuries, the waiver wire, and the trade market that keeps reshaping the PMFL. This episode is perfect for fantasy football sickos, dynasty degenerates, and anyone who enjoys real league drama mixed with unfiltered group-chat energy. If you want the inside story on who is surging, who is sinking, and which roster decisions will haunt the PMFL all season, hit play now.

PMFL Podcast.S8.E6 - Flying Private with Professional Pilot Chris

Cap'n D has delivered dih to Mr. Hungry and delivered a beautiful baby girl all in the same week. The baby bump may be an unstoppable edge. Pop em out if you ever need a clean fantasy dub. Small sample size, maybe, undefeated? probably. An incredible feat, a master of multitasking that Jimmy is. It only seemed fair to give him the week off pod to channel his attention and affection to sweet NWD. In his absence you get the usual suspects filling in and firing on all cylinders. Big shoes to fill when the Host/Producer/Chief Editor/SongWriter turns on his out of office and leaves the reigns whippin in the wind. But guess what m***********s, we still in this bitch, raw dawg, no AI's, Chris flyin Peeeje, YYC --> YVR bringing Tboe and Filly Sheft to the Brangus for thanksgiving Brekky and a high stakes Sunday football Slate. Come one Come All. It's gonna be a time. Maybe some ChugBrew, actually certainly some. Where is Gaus's ChugBrew? Maybe he's still busy smokin on that tooth n' claw pack. Blissfully unaware of the take dih he took. Yikes. Tune into this pod start to finish for knowledge bombs, straight gems, free game, fresh lingo (namely UCR), as the Young Hoe and Mr. Hungry break down week 4, a splashy wednesday waiver wire, and even fire a new segment brought to you by well, none other than Pilot Christopher. Unlimited pitch black coffees on Sunday. Bar seats go quick. Almost as quick as this pod if you chuck it on while you smoke a spliff in the bathtub. PMFL Podcast.S8.E5 - Cold Beers & Turkiyë Veneers

I’m Al Michaels. Management has once again assigned me the episode description and the PMFL Gazette—two jobs they invented to keep me occupied while a mouse named Milton eats the insulation around my desk. Apparently, this is career development. This week, Cap’n D, Mr. Hungry and Younghoe Fuj reunite in the booth, joined by rookie co-managers Tooth and Claw. TBOE and Thoms explain their surprisingly functional arrangement: one handles waiver bids, the other sets the lineup, and both communicate before making decisions. Mature cooperation. In this f*****g league. I’ve requested an investigation. The guests face questions about who wears the pants, who gets the credit, and whether their partnership has a custody agreement for Jaxon Smith-Njigba. After another enormous JSN performance helped dismantle Stab City, the arrangement appears to be working. The Shamrocks’ running backs combined for 6.5 points. I’ve had more productive conversations with the damp patch above my bed. Elsewhere, Gaus ends his 307-day win drought by battering the reigning champion. Andre’s Hard-Ons are now 0–3, with an injury list that should come with visiting hours. Gaus celebrates by spending $46 of FAAB on Ollie Gordon, prompting the booth to examine whether Miami’s backfield represents opportunity or an expensive cry for help. One win, and suddenly the bastard’s managing a sovereign wealth fund. Mr. Hungry narrowly beats his brother Gorz, giving the Helmet Boppers another week to explain how close they were to winning. Cap’n remains undefeated after beating Younghoe, while Commissioner Computer receives praise for endorsing the Drake London–DJ Moore trade. Excellent. The machine can identify a useful receiver but still can’t process my request for a f*****g chair. Tokyo survives the Skunkle Squad through a huge contribution from his tight ends, with injuries complicating matters for both teams. The Cold Hustlers sneak past the WOPs by 2.74 points while Hoss shops for a new hairline on his honeymoon. The Owl, meanwhile, discovers that points scored on your bench remain on your bench. A cruel technicality. Then it’s waiver receipts, questionable purchases and Week Four predictions. Jaylen Wright, MarShawn Lloyd, Najee Harris, Roman Wilson and several other prospective saviours enter the discussion. Some bids suggest careful planning. Others suggest someone should take the manager’s phone away. The season is young. There’s time to recover, time to make another terrible trade, and apparently unlimited time to argue about both on this podcast. Listen now. Read the Gazette. Milton needs fresh bedding, and I’d appreciate someone acknowledging the f*****g work. —Al Michaels

    PMFL Podcast.S8.E4 - T**s on Twitch Two

This is Al Michaels. I was told Episode Four required a “professional introduction,” which apparently means I speak write the intro for the episode about Mr. Hungry’s t**s. Yes, “T**s on Twitch” is the song opening tonight’s PMFL Podcast. Mr. Hungry is absent from the show because he’s taking its premise rather more seriously than the rest of us. I haven’t watched the stream. Susan says the lighting is flattering. I have asked her to stop providing updates. Younghoe Fuj is back in the booth, and the guest is Gorz of the Helmet Boppers. Trevor, welcome. Your Vikings defence scored seventeen points on your bench. Tampa Bay scored two in your lineup. That one decision turned a victory over Cap’n D into a 118.32–104.58 loss. I imagine the commissioner has been extraordinarily gracious about it. I hope you’re all reading The PMFL Gazette. I wrote eight pages this week. Eight. They’ve moved my desk into what used to be the supply closet, although “desk” is generous: it’s two beer cases beneath a printer that leaks toner whenever someone says “Froggy.” My lamp is plugged into the same outlet as Mr. Hungry’s ring light, so every time he goes live, I lose the ability to see my notes. Management calls this a shared production facility. I call it a room with no f*****g door. Week Two, briefly: Tokyo beat Younghoe 156.02–87.84, a 68-point lesson in the risks of buying the dip. Skunkle beat Gausman 110.28–77.92; Gaus now owes a beer chug and an explanation for leaving Brock Purdy on the bench. The WOPs put up 144.30 against Tooth & Claw despite Jaxon Smith-Njigba scoring 38 for the losers. Hungry beat the Cold Hustlers 120.36–102.58, proving he can win a game while fully clothed—though tonight’s absence suggests that experiment is over. Stab City beat the reigning champion 113.96–100.68; Andre is 0–2 and still owns two rings, which I expect him to mention before anyone asks. And, of course, Cap’n D beat Gorz. We have already covered the defence. We will apparently be covering it again for the next ninety minutes. Tonight they’ll review the wreckage, look ahead, and play PMFL Golf, a game sponsored by the Commissioner Computer. It gets the sponsorship. I get the scorecard, the Gazette, and a folding chair somebody found beside the bins. Please enjoy Episode Four: “T**s on Twitch.” If the song starts and my lamp goes out, you’ll know Mr. Hungry has begun broadcasting. Trevor, for God’s sake, start the Vikings.

PMFL Podcast.S8.E3 - PMFL For Life

A NOTE FROM AL MICHAELS: I’ve been reassigned to writing these episode descriptions and the PMFL Gazette—a newspaper that didn’t exist until this week. "PMFL Leadership" calls it “an expanded editorial role. I suspect they invented the whole f*****g publication to keep me busy. Anyway, here’s your write-up you p***y-hound f***s. “PMFL for Life.” A stirring declaration of loyalty. Also, apparently, the length of my f*****g contract. Cap’n D, Mr. Hungry and Younghoe Fuj return to dissect Week One, preview Week Two and explain why their preseason opinions should remain admissible in polite society. Joining them is reigning champion Hard-On Andre, who brings two titles, an enormous amount of cialis (viagra is still supreme) and considerably fewer fantasy points than anticipated. Week One provided plenty of material: • Tokyo dropped a 176.16 point turd on Gaus. Godzilla has returned, and the first building demolished was the resident toilet.• The Midnight Eagles put 163.86 past the Cold Hustlers. Hoss gets married and immediately discovers a new and fun way to get f****d on Sundays.• The Skunk’s running backs did the heavy lifting against Stab City. Let's be honest, Kyle Monung- that's not a real name. That guy ain't scoring 20 a week.• The Owl’s retirement home overthrew the defending champion. Kenneth Walker arrived Monday to make Andre’s final score suitable for public viewing.• Tooth & Claw beat Hungry by 8.38. I believe reports of Zo Zoo taking dick have been read across the nation.• Younghoe beat-off the Boppers, whose shiny shorts proved too constricting for these fat cow lizzos. Well onto Week Two, because that's what comes after one: the commissioner confronts his incredibly irresponsible spending (isn't this nincompoop having a baby?), Fuj faces his 2–12 history against Tokyo, and Hungry–Hustlers look to see who can edge out the longest with an all-time 7-7 head to head matchup. Add jersey-bet watch, Froggy Finance Football and the “PMFL for Life” anthem, and you’ve got another episode of the greatest fantasy league in sports—a distinction awarded entirely by its own retarded executive team. Crack a beer. Hide your FAAB from Cap'n D. And all you Week 1 Losers, kindly wipe your tears with my sagging s*****m, there's plenty to go around you. — Al MichaelsFormer Broadcast Legend.
