How to Journal When You Feel Lost (Expert Method)

This is an episode about journaling, self-discovery and intuition, for anyone who feels lost and can’t quite hear themselves anymore... I journaled about leaving Berlin for four years before I actually left. Reading my journal back, I realised I had known the answer the whole time, I just kept lying to myself that I had to stay... In this episode of In Awe, I get into journaling as a tool for self-honesty, why you can feel lost even when part of you already knows the answer, and how lying to yourself slowly costs you your intuition, and what I know as a journalling expert about the science of journalling. I talk about:  - The three types of journaling (prompted, free flow and reflective) and how to pick the one that fits what you’re carrying right now  - Why the price you pay for lying to yourself is your own intuition, and what that looked like in my own life  - Why the real value of journaling isn’t in the writing, it’s in reading it back  - How to tell the difference between honest self-reflection and rumination dressed up as growth  - Why you don’t have to journal every day, you just have to be honest when you do This week’s dailydeep question is 232 of 365: “What question are you currently too scared to ask yourself?” Send me a DM with your answer. I might read it out in the next episode. Friendship, Energy, and Knowing Who's Worth Your Time

Three of my best friends had a friendship wedding this weekend, and I have not stopped thinking about what it showed me... In this episode of In Awe, I get into the three types of friendships we all have, why some people leave you buzzing and others leave you depleted, and why expecting one friendship to give you everything is the fastest way to be disappointed. I talk about: Why friendship works like throwing a ball, some people take it, some throw it back, and some turn it into something better before they hand it overHow to spot the friendships that drain you, and why noticing that doesn't make you a bad personWhy the people who are so authentically themselves that they almost overwhelm you are the ones worth building your life aroundWhy not all friendships are meant to be the same, and how knowing what to expect from who changes everythingWhy the time you shared with someone still counts, even if they are no longer in your lifeHow to find the people who create actual life excitementThis is an episode about friendship, energy, and belonging, for anyone who has  wondered why some people make them feel more alive and others make them feel like a battery running out. This week's dailydeep question is 231 of 365: "Can you recall a moment where you felt a strong sense of belonging? What aspects of that experience made you feel connected?" Send me a DM with your answer. I might read it out in the next episode. What Nobody Tells You About Finding Your Purpose

I used to stress myself out so much because I felt like everyone else had this big, obvious purpose in life and I was still waiting for mine to show up... In this episode of In Awe, I get into why purpose doesn't arrive like lightning, why we spend years waiting to be chosen by something instead of going out and looking for it, and what actually happens when the purpose you built your life around starts to change. I talk about: Why purpose is something you search for, not something that finds you How to tell whether your purpose is "big enough" and why that question is usually the wrong one Why capacity matters more than scale when you're deciding what to give the world What Marcus Aurelius understood about purpose changing over a lifetime Why it is genuinely okay to not have a purpose right now, and why neutral is a valid place to sitThis is an episode about purpose, meaning, and self-doubt, for anyone who has wondered whether they missed the moment where everyone else figured it out. This week's dailydeep question is 265 of 365: "Whose life do you believe you have profoundly impacted? What makes you think your influence has been significant?" Send me a DM with your answer. I might read it out in the next episode. If you loved this episode (i really hope you do), follow the show, and if you're feeling really lovely, leave a review. I see it all! Every Heartbreak Is Teaching You the Same Thing

I've had four long-term relationships, and every single one taught me a version of the same lesson. It just took me four times to hear it... In this episode of In Awe, I get into what love actually is, why communication is the only real bridge between two people, and why the breakup I went through recently sent me down a research rabbit hole into the neuroscience of heartbreak. I talk about: Why love is less a feeling and more a continuous choice to stay curious about another personWhy expression, not mind-reading, is the only real medium humans have to connectHow four long-term relationships taught me to let go of anxious attachment, one relationship at a timeThe actual science behind why heartbreak feels like drug withdrawal, and why that explanation made me feel calmer, not worseWhy the amount of love you receive is directly tied to how much you believe you deserveWhy we put far more conditions on loving ourselves than we ever put on loving other peopleThis is an episode about love, heartbreak, attachment, and self-worth, for anyone trying to understand why losing someone hurts this much, and what it's actually trying to teach you... we're in the same boat hehe. This week's dailydeep question is 123 of 365: "How would you define your life's purpose? In what ways has your understanding of it changed as you have grown older?" Send me a DM with your answer. I might read it out in the next episode. Everything mentioned + the full dailydeep journal: Get the dailydeep journal: daily-deep.com Instagram: @lialiagla, instagram.com/lialiagla Youtube: youtube.com/@lialiagla Research mentioned: Fisher, Brown, Aron & Strong (2010) on romantic rejection and reward circuitry, plus Sussman (2010) and Reynaud et al. (2010). If you loved this episode (i really hope you do), follow the show, and if you're feeling really lovely, leave a review. I see it all! How to Know When You've Outgrown Your Life

In this episode of In Awe, I get into what it actually feels like when every pillar of your life shifts at once: a breakup, a decade in the same city that no longer feels aligned, a business built on freelance income that suddenly feels shaky. I talk about: How to recognize when a relationship, a place, or a version of yourself no longer fits, using the "old jacket" testWhy heartbreak forces growth whether you're ready for it or notThe difference between staying out of fear and staying out of alignmentWhy letting your old identity fall apart might be the most important thing you do this yearHow to lead your next chapter with curiosity instead of controlThis is an episode about personal growth, self-discovery, and life transitions, for anyone who feels like they're standing in the rubble of an old version of themselves and wondering what comes next... we're in the same boat hehe. As always, this weeks @dailydeep question is:  230 of 365: "What conditions are you placing on the love you have for yourself?" Send me a DM with your answer. I might read it out in the next episode. How I Turned Anxiety Into Confidence (By Doing the Scariest Thing)

I can't believe I'm saying this out loud, but I'm bored of being an influencer... This is the first episode of "In Awe",  a podcast where I stop flattening my thoughts into 14 second reels and give myself SPACE to talk, finally!! In this episode, I get into: How I broke out of being a people-pleaser with raging anxiety and depression by using social media as personal exposure therapyWhy fame and confidence are two completely different systemsWhat I actually want nowHow you can shift from anxious to confident, in real, practical termsBefore you go: I always end with a question from my own journal, because I don't want to be the only one talking. This one's from my own journal, dailydeep, question 21/365: "Reflect on the evolution of yourself over time. Do you feel obligated to preserve past versions of yourself for anyone? If so, why do you think that is?" Sit with that one... and then send me a DM on Instagram with your answer! I might share it in the next episode.
