    The Practical Side to Healing

Welcome to Audacious With Jessie, where we believe you can heal your past, enjoy your present, and go get your future. In this powerful episode, Jessie Beebe answers one of the most important questions on the healing journey: How does healing actually happen? If you've ever read books, listened to sermons, or attended healing meetings but still felt stuck wondering how to actually apply what you've learned, this conversation will give you the practical tools you need to experience real, lasting freedom. Jessie is joined once again by her friend and aunt, Jacqui Hill, and later by her longtime friend Jamie, for honest, vulnerable conversations about the practical side of healing and walking through some of life's hardest moments. Jessie opens the episode by addressing a frustration many people share: people tell you what to do, but they don't tell you how to do it. After attending healing meetings, reading countless books, and going through various programs like Kairos, Jessie realized that while the core principle is always the same—identify the lie and replace it with truth—she needed a simple, practical way to apply it in everyday life. That's when God gave her a tool she uses every single day: Stop, Look, and Listen. Stop means taking the moment to pause when you feel triggered, overreact, or notice something is off. Jessie shares the story of working with a group of daycare kids whose behavior was so chaotic that she spiraled into believing everything about her ministry was falling apart. Instead of distracting herself with wine and TV, she stopped and made space to process what was really happening. She emphasizes that you don't have to stop in the exact moment—sometimes you can come back to it later—but the key is making the intentional choice to stop and pay attention. Look means examining what actually happened. What was the situation? What did you feel? What was your reaction? In Jessie's case, she looked at the daycare event and realized she had overreacted—one bad experience with kids didn't mean her entire vision for Stand Performing Arts was doomed. This step is about getting honest and specific about the event that triggered you. Listen is where the breakthrough happens. This is when you invite Jesus into the moment and ask Him: What's the lie I'm believing? Where did this come from? What's the truth? Jessie discovered that the lie she was believing was I'm wrong—wrong about hearing from God, wrong about the direction she was taking, wrong in general. God gently reminded her that if she believed He told her to do something, then she was supposed to do it—even if it didn't work out the way she expected. He also showed her that sometimes He leads us into situations not because they're the final destination, but because they're the detour we need to get where He's really taking us. Jessie shares how this principle played out in her own life when God told her to write Absolute Resolve in 2018, but then told her to stop everything in 2020. She had to completely let go of the dream of speaking and writing, not knowing that God was using that season to deal with her heart—specifically, her desire to be known. It wasn't until 2024 that He released her to move forward again, and even then, it took until 2026 for the next step to unfold. This story beautifully illustrates that hearing from God and obeying doesn't always mean immediate success—it means trusting the process and the detours. Jacqui highlights another powerful part of the Stop, Look, and Listen process: asking Jesus where He was in the traumatic moment. Jessie explains that when she went back to the root trauma of her childhood sexual abuse, she asked Jesus, "Where were you when that happened?" And He showed her that He was right there with her, holding her hand, crying with her. He didn't stop it from happening, but He never left her. This is one of the most profound truths for anyone struggling with the question, "Why did God let this happen to me?" The answer is: He was with you. He will never leave you or forsake you. Jessie also talks about how this process has become second nature to her. She uses Stop, Look, and Listen every single day, though she doesn't always say the words out loud. She's learned to pay attention to her body—sharp feelings, tension, even physical pain like hip pain, which she discovered was connected to a fear of moving forward. She's studied somatic healing and learned to ask God, "Is this physical or spiritual?" And often, it's both. When she identifies the lie and replaces it with truth, she physically feels the release—through tears, yawning, or chills. Healing is not just mental or spiritual; it's physical too. In the second half of the episode, Jessie sits down with her longtime friend Jamie, who shares her own story of walking through one of the worst things a parent can imagine. In March 2022, Jamie's son Eli was in a motocross accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down. In five...

The Hidden Lies Running Your Life

Welcome to Audacious With Jessie, where we believe you can heal your past, enjoy your present, and go get your future. In this powerful episode, Jessie Beebe tackles one of the most critical questions on the healing journey: What are the hidden lies running your life that you don't even know about? If you've ever found yourself overreacting to small situations, feeling triggered without understanding why, or carrying beliefs about yourself that keep you stuck, this conversation will bring clarity, hope, and practical steps toward freedom.\n\nJessie is joined once again by her friend and aunt, Jacqui Hill, and later by Becca Ramirez, for honest, vulnerable conversations about the lies we believe about God, ourselves, and others—and how childhood trauma and experiences shape our internal belief systems without us even realizing it.\n\nJessie opens up about the moment she discovered that her debilitating anxiety wasn't just a chemical imbalance—it was rooted in deep, hidden lies she had believed since childhood. The core lie? I'm wrong and I'm bad. This belief shaped nearly every reaction she had, from small disagreements with her husband to everyday situations that would leave her in tears. She shares the shocking moment when, during prayer, she saw Jesus with a demonic face—a clear sign that she was believing a lie about God.\n\nThrough counseling and inviting Jesus into her pain, Jessie uncovered a traumatic memory she had completely disassociated from: childhood sexual abuse by a church leader when she was just five years old. This memory, buried for decades, was the root of her belief that she was wrong, bad, and that God was angry with her. Jessie describes the visceral, physical reaction she had when the memory surfaced—heave crying and throwing up—which helped her believe herself and trust what God was showing her.\n\nJessie explains the concept of going back to the root story with Jesus, a powerful tool for healing. By inviting Jesus into that traumatic moment, asking Him what the lie was and what the truth is, she was able to replace the lie with God's truth: You're mine. You're special. You're loved. This breakthrough moment began a deeper journey of freedom that would eventually lead to the writing of her book, Absolute Resolve.\n\nBecca Ramirez joins the conversation and shares her own story of discovering the lies she believed: I'm not enough and I'm too much. She describes how childhood stories, family dynamics, and comparisons to her older sister shaped her identity and led to years of overcompensating, over-apologizing, and feeling like she had to change who she was depending on the situation. Becca's breakthrough came during an argument with her husband when he stopped her mid-apology and said, "You didn't do anything wrong." That moment helped her realize how deeply the lie had taken root.\n\nThroughout the episode, Jessie unpacks the three categories of lies we believe: lies about God, lies about ourselves, and lies about others. Common lies about God include: He's mad at me, He thinks I'm bad, I'm not good enough for Him. These lies roll over into what we believe about ourselves—I'm wrong, I'm too much, I'm not enough—and then into how we view others, leading to damaged relationships, people-pleasing, and the inability to trust our own intuition.\n\nJessie shares the story of her math trauma, where a second-grade teacher made her feel stupid for not being good at math. This wound followed her into adulthood, causing her to cry and panic anytime she had to work with numbers—even while running a nonprofit. She also tells the story of "Steven," a man who freaked out when his wife threw away a pen, not because of the pen, but because of a childhood memory of his father crushing and throwing away a model airplane he had made. These examples illustrate how identity wounds show up as triggers and overreactions in adulthood.\n\nJessie emphasizes that freedom starts with honesty. For years, she lived with the "I'm okay" pattern, pushing down her true feelings and never being honest with herself. She explains that you cannot heal what you don't identify, and that healing begins with paying attention to your reactions, getting curious about your triggers, and inviting Jesus into those moments. Jessie encourages listeners to journal, ask God questions, and listen for His voice—because He has all the answers.\n\nThis episode is packed with practical tools, real-life stories, and hope for anyone who's ever felt stuck, triggered, or weighed down by beliefs they didn't even know they carried. Whether you're just beginning to identify the lies you believe or you're ready to go deeper, this conversation will help you take the next step toward lasting freedom.\n\nChapters:\n00:00:00 Welcome to Audacious with Jessie\n00:00:52 The Hidden Lies Running Your Life\n00:02:14 When Anxiety Connected to Deeper Beliefs\n00:03:23 The Face of Jesus: A Shocking Discovery\n00:03:44 Uncovering Childhood Sexual Abuse...

    Can I Actually Hear God?

Welcome to Audacious With Jessie, where we believe you can heal your past, enjoy your present, and go get your future. In this powerful episode, Jessie Beebe tackles one of the most common questions Christians ask: Can I Actually Hear God? If you've ever wondered whether God truly speaks to you, or if you've doubted the voice you're hearing, this conversation will bring clarity, encouragement, and practical tools to help you discern God's voice from fear, shame, and your own thoughts. Jessie is joined once again by her friend and aunt, Jacqui Hill, and later by her daughter, Riley Faith Beebe Andersen, for honest, vulnerable conversations about what it really means to hear from God. Jessie opens up about a traumatic moment in her adult life when she began to doubt everything she thought she'd heard from God. After attending a class that warned against automatic handwriting and the occult, Jessie spiraled into fear, throwing away decades of journals and questioning whether she had ever truly heard God's voice at all. It was a dark season, compounded by going off her medication, that left her feeling lost and confused. But God didn't leave her there. Jessie shares how the Lord gently reminded her: "I've been talking to you this whole time." She walks listeners through the journey of learning to recognize God's voice, explaining that it's just like any relationship—the more time you spend with someone, the better you know their voice. God speaks in a still, small voice, and hearing Him requires intentionality, stillness, and a willingness to listen, not just talk. Throughout the episode, Jessie unpacks the difference between God's voice, your voice, and the enemy's voice. God's voice is always loving, peaceful, and leading—even when it's corrective. The enemy's voice brings fear, accusation, shame, and pressure. Your own thoughts are often just practical and human. Jessie emphasizes that if you feel accused, condemned, or pushed, that's not God. But if you feel led, peaceful, and loved—even in conviction—that's His voice. Riley shares her own story of hearing from God for the first time in middle school when she had a crush on a boy and felt God clearly say no. She describes how that moment taught her to trust God's voice and follow His leading, even when it wasn't what she wanted to hear. Riley and her husband Carl also share how God led them to move to the Pacific Northwest, confirming their decision through peace, circumstances, and a powerful moment overlooking Crater Lake. Jessie reminds listeners that God wants to speak to you. He speaks through Scripture, through other people, through nature, through songs, even through TV shows and movies. He spoke through a donkey in the Bible—He can certainly speak to you. The key is paying attention, asking questions, and expecting an answer. Jessie encourages anyone who's new to hearing from God to start simple: ask Him a question, be still, and listen. The answer may come immediately, or it may come through a friend, a verse, or a moment of clarity later on. If you've ever felt like you can't hear God, or if you've been afraid that the voice you're hearing isn't Him, this episode will help you move forward with confidence and peace. Hearing from God isn't reserved for a select few—it's for everyone who seeks Him. Chapters: 00:00:00 Welcome to Audacious with Jessie 00:01:15 Can I Actually Hear God? Why Am I Still Not Free? Finding Peace Beyond the Struggle

Welcome to Audacious With Jessie, where we believe you can heal your past, enjoy your present, and go get your future. In this powerful first episode, Jessie Beebe opens up about a question that haunted her for years: Why am I still not free? Despite being a lifelong Christian, baptized at six, and fully committed to her faith, Jessie found herself battling debilitating anxiety and depression that felt like electricity running through her body 24/7. She had a great life, a loving family, and a thriving ministry, yet something deep inside wasn't right. This episode takes you on Jessie's journey from confusion to clarity as she shares how she discovered the root of her emotional pain, the generational trauma she didn't know she carried, and the breakthrough moment when a counselor asked her one simple question: "Do you think it's okay to not be okay?" Jessie is joined by her friend and aunt, Jacqui Hill, and later by her longtime pastor, Bill Ramsey, who opens up about his own journey through loss, brokenness, and learning to minister while playing hurt. Pastor Bill shares the heartbreaking story of losing his wife Cindy after 42 years of marriage and how vulnerability became his greatest ministry tool. He introduces the beautiful Japanese art of Kintsukeri, where broken vessels are repaired with gold, making them more valuable than before, a powerful metaphor for how God uses our brokenness. Together, they explore why so many Christians struggle silently with emotional pain, how the "just be okay" mentality of past generations kept wounds buried, and why it's time to stop pretending and start healing. You'll also discover the origin of Jessie's book Absolute Resolve (available on Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/Absolute-Resolve-past-present-future/dp/B0D4GPCTNK ) and learn a practical daily tool called Stop, Look, Listen that Jessie uses every single day to identify lies, replace them with truth, and walk in freedom. If you've ever wondered why you still feel anxious, depressed, or stuck despite your faith, this episode is for you. Abundant freedom isn't about having a perfect life. It's about experiencing consistent peace, joy, and hope, no matter what you're walking through. Healing is a process. You're not a failure. And you're on the road to freedom.
