Innerpreneur Journeys:A Library of Lived WisdomWhat if the most important work we'll ever do isn't what we build - but who we become while building it? An Innerpreneur is someone who invests in their inner life with the same intention that an entrepreneur invests in building a venture -because they know who we become shapes everything we create. We live in a world overflowing with information. AI can answer almost any question. Yet many of us still struggle with the ones that matter most. Who am I beyond my achievements and roles? What does a truly fulfilling life look like? How do I navigate change without losing myself? For most of human history, we explored these questions through conversation - around dinner tables, across generations, in communities, and through stories. Today, many of us are left trying to answer them alone. Innerpreneur Journeys exists to bridge that gap. This is a living library of honest conversations exploring the inner journey behind meaningful work, purposeful living, and what it means to become more fully ourselves. Each 15 minute episode explores enduring human questions through the lens of someone who has genuinely lived it - not from a stage or a book, but through their own lived experience. We sit with founders and parents, artists and athletes, scientists and spiritual teachers, creatives and healers, environmentalists and activists, thinkers and seekers. People willing to speak openly about what life has taught them - and what it's still teaching them. Just real conversations about the questions that shape us all. Episodes are organised into thematic shelves - Identity, Purpose, Failure, Love, Grief, Belonging, Transitions, Enough, and more - so you can explore the library through the question you're living, not simply the guest you're listening to. I'm Ash, your host and fellow traveller. I've rebuilt more than once - through the kind of loss that strips away the roles you thought made you who you are - and come out the other side more myself, not less. I don't have all the answers. What I do have is a deep curiosity about what helps people live with greater clarity, courage, and authenticity. Time and again, I've found that one honest conversation, with the right person, at the right moment, can quietly change the way we see ourselves - and our lives. Because wisdom isn't about knowing the most. It's about transforming what we've lived into the way we lead, love, choose, and show up in the world. This isn't a podcast to binge once and forget. It's a library you'll return to - because each time you do, you'll be different, and so will what you discover. Welcome to Innerpreneur Journeys.

4.2: Shruti S: Finding & Following Your Calling

Chemistry major. Then finance, at Merrill Lynch in New York. Then — barely a year in — gone. Shruti Shibulal has rebuilt her working life roughly every five years since: co-founding a restaurant company in Bangalore in 2008 while taking an MBA at Columbia, building The Tamara Coorg on a 170-acre working plantation, growing Tamara Leisure Experiences tenfold as CEO between 2018 and 2025, and then choosing to step out of the CEO seat and into the Executive Vice Chair role to steward what she'd built rather than run it. She's a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, and now sits on the board of an AI company rethinking how hospitality makes decisions. What connects all of it isn't ambition. It's a pattern of noticing, early and honestly, when a chapter is done. In this episode of Innerpreneur Journeys, Ash opens Shruti's book: how you choose change instead of waiting to be changed, what a calling actually sounds like when it first shows up, and how you raise children who can handle a world that won't hold still. We dig into: Choosing change — the difference between accepting it and embracing itWalking away from finance a year in, and what it taught her about callingTrusting intuition when the obvious next step says otherwiseLeading through disruption, and what changes when you stop being the one in chargeDreaming big while raising independent kids — and helping children navigate change without absorbing our anxiety about itThe one page from her story she wants you to live this week Innerpreneur Journeys is a library of lived wisdom — stories from people who walk the talk, make conscious choices, and rewrite scripts.
