Follow a hermit (hermitress, really, but I don't think that's a real word) nature artist in the wild Ozark hills where she and her husband live a remote life with spring water and grid-optional solar. Everyday life is an adventure out here. I'm an artist who makes my paints from the local rocks, soot from the chimney, wild clay, and found bones. Nature inspires me, and we have plenty of that to go around. So most of my posts are about life in close proximity to nature on these 160 acres we call Wild Ozark. We live pretty far off the highway, so we don't get a lot of visitors. But this past week a friend of mine ventured out from the city of Rogers for a day in the wilderness. We hiked around a little bit and I did an impromptu interview with her (it's on a separate short video at YouTube).

Well, first of all, I drive really slow on dirt roads to spare the car suspension. But also, there's just so much to see. And if I see something interesting, I like to stop and take pics or get a closer look! So this episode is about the sorts of things that stop me in my tracks and make me get out of the car.
