    Filmmaking: Carter Aakhus

    Note: This episode was recorded in February 2026. Carter talks about his latest short film, "Twenty-Nine Blocks", which has seen success on the film festival circuit this year, with screenings at the Hello From Fargo Film Festival, Unspooled Film Festival, as well as the upcoming Eagan Film Festival and Red Cedar Film Festival.  Carter talks about making this short film with a small crew, finding your own voice as a filmmaker, and where he finds inspiration for his films.
