07 | Letting Go of Perfectionism: Trusting God’s Good Plans When Life Looks Different

Have you ever looked at your life and thought, “This is not how it was supposed to turn out”?  In this episode of Biblical Emotional Healing, we explore how perfectionism can keep us holding tightly to our picture of a good life. Together, we look at three reasons we can entrust our hopes and our next steps to God: God’s character is good.  His work in you is good.  His purposes are good.  We also talk about the pressure to become a better version of ourselves before we can finally be happy. His goodness is something we can experience today, even while we’re waiting for answers. A practical step for this week: Spend time journaling in prayer with God. Begin with: “I thought a good life would look like…” Be honest about the hopes, expectations, and timelines you’ve been carrying. Then ask Him: Where have I made that picture a condition for peace or believing You are good? Where can I see Your care and growth in me today? Who are You inviting me to love or serve? Write down one biblical truth that helps you entrust your hopes to Him, thank Him for one example of growth, and choose one faithful step to practice this week. The promise to hold onto: In Christ, you are chosen, and you belong to the God who works out everything according to the purpose of His will. — Ephesians 1:11 Sister, you belong to Him, and your life has a place in His purpose. You don’t have to figure it all out today. You can trust His wisdom and faithfulness with your next step. Scriptures mentioned: Psalm 37:3–5; Romans 8:28–29; Joel 2:25–26; 1 Peter 5:10; Philippians 4:6–7; Romans 15:13; Galatians 5:22–23; 2 Corinthians 1:3–4; Ephesians 2:10; 2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 3:9; Ephesians 1:11. 06 | Are Your Expectations Making You Anxious? Learning to Trust Who God Says You Are

Are Your Expectations Making You Anxious? Learning to Trust Who God Says You Are Have you ever caught yourself saying, “That’s just who I am”? Maybe you see yourself as the anxious one, the perfectionist, or the strong one who has to hold everything together. Or maybe you’re waiting for life to look the way you expected before you can finally have peace. In this episode of Biblical Emotional Healing, we explore your identity in Christ and the willingness it takes to live from what God says about you. Together, we look at three areas: Know who God says you are. In Christ, you are a new creation, chosen, and part of God’s family. You can receive that identity today. Be willing to let go of old labels. Your past, your struggles, and your accomplishments may have shaped how you see yourself, but God’s truth gives you a new foundation. Train to become more like your King. Jesus shows us humility, service, and obedience. Practical discipleship means participating with God in your growth because you already belong to Him. We also talk about forgiveness, perfectionism, and how holding tightly to our expectations can add to our anxiety. As we learn to trust God, we can surrender the version of life we’ve been trying to control and become willing to follow His lead. A practical step for this week: Spend time journaling in prayer with God. Ask Him: What have I been calling “just who I am”? What does Your Word say is true about me in Christ? Where are You inviting me to let go of an old label, attitude, expectation, or behavior and become more like Jesus? Write down what you notice, return to Scripture, and ask God to help you respond with a willing heart. The promise to hold onto: In Christ, you belong to God’s chosen people, His royal priesthood, and His special possession—called out of darkness into His wonderful light. — 1 Peter 2:9 Sister, you belong to Him. You can trust what God says about you and begin living from that truth today. Scriptures mentioned: Galatians 2:20; 2 Corinthians 5:17; 1 Peter 2:9; Ephesians 2:6; Romans 8:17; Ephesians 4:22–24; Philippians 2:5–8; 2 Peter 1:3–7. 05 | Feeling Lonely? 3 of God’s Promises That Show You Are Fiercely Loved

Do you believe God loves you, but still wonder whether He sees you personally? Maybe you feel alone, speak harshly to yourself, or find yourself working hard to earn someone else’s love. In this episode of Biblical Emotional Healing, we begin with the clearest evidence of God’s love: Jesus Christ. Then we look at three promises you can hold onto today: You are never alone. God’s presence is real, even when you feel lonely. Nothing can separate you from His love in Christ. You can learn to speak to yourself as someone God deeply loves. God works for the good of those who love Him. You can practice trusting Him without having to control every outcome. You don’t have to wait until you feel loved for these truths to be yours in Christ. As you seek Him, you can grow in receiving His love and living from it. A practical step for this week (Notice. Test. Replace. Practice.):  Notice one harsh thought you have about yourself and write it in your journal. Ask God, Does this agree with what You say about me? Find a truth in Scripture to write beside it, and practice returning to that truth when the thought comes back. The promise to hold onto:  Nothing in all creation “will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” — Romans 8:39 Sister, you are seen, you are known, and you are fiercely loved by God. Scriptures mentioned:  Romans 5:8; Ephesians 3:17–19; Hebrews 13:5; Luke 15:3–7; Isaiah 43:1–4; Romans 8:28, 38–39; 1 John 3:1; Ephesians 1–2; Jeremiah 29:13. 04 | Tired of Feeling Anxious? Biblical Steps Toward Lasting Peace

Do anxiety, fear, perfectionism, or the need for control keep pulling you back into the same emotional patterns—even though you love Jesus and know God’s Word? Sometimes the emotions we keep battling are connected to thoughts and beliefs we learned long ago. Renewing your mind requires more than trying to feel better or simply knowing Bible verses. It means allowing Scripture to reveal what you believe, correct what doesn’t agree with God, and training to live differently. In this episode, we’ll talk about: How family patterns, painful experiences, culture, and other people’s words can shape our thinking Why familiar thoughts aren’t always true How Scripture helps us recognize and replace lies Why conviction is God’s loving invitation into freedom—not condemnation How surrender and a teachable heart make transformation possible You’ll also learn a simple practice you can use when an old thought or emotional reaction appears: Notice. Test. Replace. Practice. Notice the thought beneath the emotion, test it against God’s Word, replace it with biblical truth or one of God’s promises, and practice returning to that truth when the old pattern resurfaces. Renewing your mind is not positive thinking—it is ongoing discipleship. As you become willing to let God examine, correct, and transform your thinking, His truth can become the new foundation you live from. Verses to help with Peace: Romans 12:2 John 10:10 2 Timothy 3:16–17 Psalm 26:2 Psalm 51:10 Jeremiah 29:11 Episode Promise: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” —Jeremiah 29:11 NIV If this episode encouraged you, share it with a Christian woman who is ready to break free from old thought patterns and learn to trust God more. 02 | Feeling Anxious and Overwhelmed? How to Be Still and Trust God

Do you ever feel like everything depends on you—your family, your work, your plans, and the never-ending list of things that still need to get done? When anxiety and overwhelm rise, slowing down can feel almost irresponsible. But biblical stillness isn’t about ignoring your responsibilities or doing nothing. It’s about stopping the striving long enough to remember who God is, what belongs to Him, and what He is actually asking of you today. In this episode of Biblical Emotional Healing, we’ll look at Psalm 46:10 and what it practically means to “Be still, and know that I am God.” We’ll talk about: How anxiety and overwhelm can reveal where we’re trying to control the outcome Why overthinking can feel productive even when it changes nothing How to stop borrowing tomorrow’s worries and stay present with God today Why seeking God first helps realign our hearts before we respond to everything demanding our attention A simple Be Still Pause you can practice when anxiety, overwhelm, or the need for control starts pulling you back into striving This week’s practical step: Set aside ten intentional minutes with God daily. Read Psalm 46:10 slowly, identify one thing you’re trying to control, release it to Him, and ask Him to show you the next faithful step for today—then trust Him with the outcome. Scriptures in this episode: Psalm 46:10 • John 15:5 • Matthew 6:33–34 • Exodus 14:14 Episode Promise: “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” — Exodus 14:14 NIV Hold on to God’s promises, and I’ll meet you back here next time. 01 | Ready to Find Healing Through God's Promises?

Do you love Jesus but still feel controlled by anxious thoughts, loneliness, perfectionism, or the need to keep everything from falling apart? For much of my life, I believed God was real—but I didn’t truly know Him. I exhausted myself trying to carry what was always meant for Him: fixing everything, making everything just right, and trying to prevent painful things from happening. In this first episode of Biblical Emotional Healing, I’m sharing parts of my testimony and how God used some of the most painful and broken places in my story to draw me closer to Him. I’ll share how I began moving from simply believing in God to developing a real relationship with Him—and how surrender, Scripture, prayer, and God’s promises began transforming the way I responded to my emotions and circumstances. In this episode, we’ll talk about: Why emotional healing doesn’t mean you never struggle again How our thoughts, beliefs, fears, and old wounds influence our emotions Why our emotions are real but aren’t always telling us what is true What changed when I stopped trying to control everything and fully surrendered to God How renewing our minds with biblical truth helps us respond differently What you can expect as we walk through this practical discipleship journey together You’ll also be introduced to a simple process we’ll continue practicing throughout the podcast: Notice. Examine. Bring it to God. Replace. Respond. Repeat. This podcast is for the Christian woman who loves Jesus and is ready to stop allowing anxiety, fear, loneliness, overwhelm, or perfectionism to run the show. Together, we’ll learn to trust God more, hold on to His promises, and allow Jesus to transform our hearts and minds. This isn’t a comeback where you prove how strong you are. This is the season where you stop trying to do everything in your own strength and begin finding rest in God’s promises and His good plans for you. Scriptures in this episode: Philippians 1:21 James 1:2 Psalm 46:10 Jeremiah 29:13 Philippians 4:6–7 Romans 12:2 Jeremiah 29:11 Episode promise: Your current chapter is not the end of your story. God sees what you cannot see yet. He has not lost sight of you, and you can trust Him with what comes next. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” —Jeremiah 29:11 NIV If you’re ready to grow stronger in your faith and learn to trust God more—even when life still hurts—I’m so glad you’re here.
