How to Live a Life That Actually Feels Like Yours (and Why Values Are a Great Place to Start)

What does it mean to live a life that truly feels like your own? Maybe you're feeling discontented in the season of your life right now, but you're not sure what to do about it? Or perhaps it feels like you don't have much choice & this is just how it has to be for now. Perhaps you're someone who tends to people please or prioritise everyone else before yourself? Maybe you just know you are ready for change but are not sure where to start. If any of these circumstances resonate, this episode is for you. In the busyness of the everyday juggle, it can be easy to become caught up in what we should do, what others expect of us, and the goals we’re striving towards — sometimes losing touch with what matters most along the way.  In this episode, Zoe explores the importance of living a values-driven life and how reconnecting with our personal values can support greater contentment, authenticity and joy. Zoe looks at the difference between pursuing goals and embodying our values in the everyday moments that make up our lives, and why the values that once served us may need to evolve as we move through different life stages. Most importantly, living a values-driven life doesn’t require dramatic changes or a complete life overhaul. After listening, you might like to reflect on this question: Are the choices I’m making each day aligned with what truly matters to me, or with what I feel is expected of me? Often finding our way back to ourselves begins with small, intentional choices that bring our actions a little closer to the person we want to be. The Most Valuable Gift You Can Regularly Give Your Relationship

What if you didn’t wait until something was wrong to give your relationship some attention? In this episode, I’m sharing the relationship practice my partner and I have been implementing and benefiting from for some years now: regular check-ins. Not a relationship “performance review”. Not an opportunity to unload every frustration you’ve accumulated. And definitely not a conversation designed to prove who is right. Instead, it’s a regular space to pause, reconnect, notice what’s working, talk about what isn’t, and compassionately exchange insights. I’ll walk you through the principles that make these conversations feel safe and constructive, as well as the questions we use to open up deeper conversations about love, resentment, roles, emotional needs, hopes and the life you’re building together. The magic isn’t necessarily in asking the perfect questions. It’s in creating a relationship where you can keep asking them. So if you’re in a relationship you want to protect, understand and keep growing, this is a conversation worth coming back to. Pleasure Without Pressure: Rethinking What Good Sex Looks Like

We’ve inherited so many ideas about what sex should look like — who should initiate, what arousal should look like, how sex should end, and what counts as “good” sex. But what if a lot of these expectations are creating pressure rather than pleasure? In this episode, Zoe explores some of the culturally entrenched narratives around sex and why shifting our focus away from performance, outcomes and expectations can open up a much more expansive experience of sexual pleasure.
