Episode 6 Walking In Confidence Without Apology audio1308410788

Send us Fan Mail Wherever you are listening from—whether you are getting ready for your day, driving, sitting quietly with your journal, or simply taking a moment to breathe—I want you to know that you are not here by accident. I believe God has something to speak to your heart in this episode. In Episode 5, we talked about embracing your God-given identity and learning to see yourself through the truth of what God says, not through insecurity, comparison, or others' expectations. Today, we are taking that truth one step further. We are talking about what it means to walk in confidence without apology, because once you know who God says you are, you can begin to show up boldly in what He has called you to do. And sister, that does not mean you have to be loud, perfect, or fully comfortable. It means you are learning to trust God enough to stop shrinking, stop second-guessing, and start moving forward with humility, grace, and courage. Segment 1: Confidence Is Not Arrogance Let’s start here, because this is something many of us have had to wrestle with: godly confidence is not pride. It is not arrogance, and it is not thinking more highly of yourself than you should. Godly confidence is simply agreeing with what God says about you. It’s being able to say, “Lord, if You placed this gift in me, if You called me to this assignment, if You opened this door, then I do not have to shrink back from it.” 2 Corinthians 10:17: As the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the Lord. Sometimes we hold back because we don’t want people to misunderstand us. We don’t want to seem too bold, too confident, too visible, or too much. So we lower our voice. We downplay what we know. We minimize our gifts. We hesitate to step forward, even when God has clearly been nudging us. And many times, we call that humility. But sis, shrinking back is not the same as humility. Humility says, “God, I know this came from You, so I will use it in a way that honors You.” Confidence says, “I may not feel fully ready, but I trust the One who called me.”  So if you have been waiting until you feel completely comfortable before you show up, I want to lovingly remind you that confidence often grows after obedience, not before it. Sometimes you have to take the step while your hands are still trembling. Sometimes you have to use your voice while you are still learning to trust it. And sometimes you have to let God teach you, in real time, that you can be both dependent on Him and courageous in front of others.

Episode 5: Embracing Your God-Given Identity

Send us Fan Mail Before we move forward, take a deep breath and settle your heart for a moment. Wherever you are listening from — whether you are getting ready for the day, riding in the car, sitting quietly with your journal, or simply needing a reminder of who you are — I believe this episode is meeting you on purpose. In Episode 4, we talked about healing what has been holding you back. Today, we are taking another important step by talking about embracing your God-given identity, because purpose becomes stronger when you know who you are in Him. You do not have to live from old labels, past mistakes, rejection, fear, or the opinions of others. God has already spoken truth over your life, and today we are going to lean into that truth together.  Segment 1: Identity Comes Before Assignment Let’s start here, because this is so important: before you walk fully in what God has called you to do, you must be rooted in who God says you are. Sometimes we want the assignment, the clarity, the open door, or the next step, but God is first strengthening the foundation underneath us. He is reminding us, “Daughter, before you do anything for Me, remember that you belong to Me.” You don't earn your identity by performing well. You receive your identity because you are His. Ephesians 1:11: Because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan.

Episode 1 Awaken to the Purpose Within audio3086052891

Send us Fan Mail Episode 1  Welcome to Awaken Her Purpose. I am your host, Reverend Dr. Gloria J. Newman, and I am so grateful you are here for our very first episode. Today, we are starting with the heart of this podcast. Awakening the purpose God has already placed within you. Ephesians 2: 10 says, "For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago."  So before we go any further, let's invite God into this conversation. Father, thank you for every woman listening today. Open her heart, quiet fear and doubt, and remind her that she is seen, loved, chosen, and called. Awaken what you have placed within her. Give her courage for the next step, and peace to trust your timing. In Jesus' name, amen.  Segment one of this first episode is Purpose is Already Within You. Purpose does not begin with a platform, a title, a position, public recognition, or outside validation. Purpose begins with God, and he placed value, assignment, and divine intention within you before anyone else saw it. Psalm 139:13-16 says, "You made all the delicate inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother's womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex. Your workmanship is marvelous. How well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, when I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day passed."   So as we begin this first segment, I want us to release the pressure of trying to prove purpose and return to the truth that purpose starts with God. Before we talk about what we do, we have to remember who created us and what he placed inside of us. Sometimes we think purpose is something we have to chase, earn, prove, or perform. We think we need a title before we can be useful, a platform before we can be impactful, or someone else's approval before we can believe we are called. But before anyone knew your name, before you had a position, before you had a ministry, before you had a business, before you had an audience, God had already placed value and assignment within your life. Galatians 1: 10 says, "Obviously, I'm trying to win the approval-" Obviously, I'm not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be God's servant.   So if you are in a hidden season, if you feel delayed, overlooked, or unsure, I want you to know that hidden does not mean forgotten. Delayed does not mean denied. And overlooked by people does not mean unseen by God. Habakkuk 2 and 3 says, "This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed." So a reflection question I would like to ask is- What if purpose is not something you are waiting to receive, but something God is asking you to awaken to? What if the very thing you have been asking God to give you is something he has already planted within you, and is now inviting you to stir up by faith? Philippians 3, Philippians 2 and 13 says, "For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him." And once we understand that purpose is already within us, we also have to ask what may have covered it, quieted it, or kept it asleep?
