#19:Why It's Not Safe To Shine

Have you ever noticed your chest tighten or your throat close up right when you're about to post, speak up, or raise your prices? That's not a mindset problem. In this episode of Inner Child Revolution, I talk about annihilation anxiety and why so many of us learned to dim our light to survive. Annihilation anxiety goes deeper than the fear of something bad happening. It's the fear that your sense of self will fall apart or be erased. I explain how this connects to growing up around pathological narcissism, where someone carrying an inner emptiness can experience your joy, independence, and aliveness as a threat. What often follows is a subtle "deanimation," where your light gets dampened to make you easier to manage. If you grew up in that kind of environment, dimming yourself was survival genius. You learned that showing full joy or pride could bring on envy, anger, or negativity, so you adapted to stay safe and connected. And even now, when you know you're safe, your body can still hold that old programming. That's why stepping into visibility can feel so threatening. I also talk about why you can't force your way out of this by toughening up. Real reparenting means comforting your inner child, acknowledging their fears, and offering safety from your inner adult. If anger comes up about how you were dimmed, that's a good sign. It's life and energy coming back. And I share a quantum physics metaphor about how the dimmed version of you was only one possibility, and how courageous action lets you step into the fully alive version of yourself that's been there all along. #18: You Are Money

What if money isn’t something you need to attract, chase, or prove you deserve? What if money is an expression of who you are? In Episode 18 of Inner Child Revolution, I’m exploring what I really mean when I say, “You are money.” Drawing from the I AM principle found throughout New Thought teachings, I look at the identities we form around money, often beginning in childhood, and how those identities can continue shaping what we earn, charge, receive, and even allow ourselves to keep. I’ll also show you why affirmations like “I am abundant” may only go so far when your inner child is still carrying a very different story about money, safety, worth, and what you’re allowed to have. We’ll explore the idea of your “inner currency”: the wisdom, experience, and value you already carry because of what you’ve lived through. And if you’re a coach, healer, or entrepreneur, we’ll look at how that inner currency shows up in your business, especially in how you price your work and own the value of what you bring to your clients. In this episode: • What “I am money” actually means • How childhood conditioning shapes your money identity • Why money can come in and then seem to disappear just as quickly • Why your inner adult and inner child need to be having the same conversation • The difference between self-sabotage and subconscious protection • How your “inner currency” relates to the value you bring to your work • What your pricing may reveal about the identity you’re operating from If you’ve been doing the money work but still feel like some part of you hasn’t gotten the message, this conversation may help you understand why. #17: The Healing Trap

Have you ever done all the right healing work — the forgiveness, the energetic protection, the 100% relational responsibility — and still felt stuck? Or worse, more exhausted than when you started? In this episode I dig into what I call the healing trap. It's the pattern where solid personal development, spiritual, and energy practices stop working — not because they're wrong, but because we're running them through the inner child's survival patterns instead of through a grounded inner adult. When a practice hits a wall, the inner child interprets it as "I must not be doing it right, I need to try harder." And that loop is often the exact childhood survival mechanism we've been trying to heal in the first place. There are a few places this shows up that I want to walk you through. 00% relational responsibility is a powerful principle, but for someone who grew up parentified — managing everyone else's emotions to earn safety — applying it everywhere can quietly reinforce the old job. The inner adult recognizes when a relationship is unsafe and chooses to walk away, rather than over-give and over-manage. Psychic and energetic boundaries can go the same way. Children in volatile households often survived by absorbing and transmuting the emotional environment around them. Handing them a framework that says "transmute the energy into love" can validate a survival response as spiritual mastery. Premature forgiveness is another one. Forgiveness is liberating when it arises naturally, but forcing it before the inner child's anger, hurt, and sense of betrayal have been witnessed and believed just sends those feelings underground, where they resurface again and again. The distinguishing tell across all of these? The inner child does the practice to become safe. The inner adult does it from a place of already being safe. The correct sequence is reparenting first. Meeting the unmet childhood needs — to be seen, heard, believed, and safe — through the inner adult. Once that safety is established, the healing practices start doing what they were designed to do. And here's the piece that matters most for coaches and practitioners: not every teacher or practice is right for every situation, especially where toxic or narcissistic dynamics are involved. When something feels wrong in your body, that "no" is your inner adult stepping forward. Reparenting builds the sovereignty to trust it. #16: When "I Create My Reality" Becomes Self-Punishment

Ever caught yourself thinking "I must have manifested this narcissist into my life" — or "I created this toxic situation, so it's on me"? That thought isn't spiritual maturity. It's childhood shame wearing a new costume with better vocabulary. In this episode of Inner Child Revolution, we go deep into the intersection of inner child healing and spiritual awakening — and why so many of us get stuck in a loop of self-punishment disguised as "personal responsibility." What we get into: → The trap of using "I create my reality" as a weapon against yourself → Separation consciousness vs. oneness — why the judging mind (right/wrong, victim/perpetrator) can never actually set you free → Why you can't skip past 3D reality and trauma to get to oneness (spoiler: bypassing is just dissociation with a spiritual accent — the exact survival mechanism the child used originally) → Neville Goddard's teaching that the external world is "yourself pushed out," and what that actually means when someone in your life is causing real harm → The role of the inner adult in holding two truths at once — yes, the harm happened and it wasn't okay, AND from a higher level there is only one of us here → How 1940s mysticism lines up with modern simulation theory from MIT computer scientists, and why we came here to pretend to be limited on purpose → Why painful encounters aren't evidence that something is wrong with you — they're sharp invitations to wake up You didn't come here to be good. You came here to remember who you are. #15: The Spirituality Trap

There's a version of spiritual bypassing that sounds evolved. Wise, even. "I don't want to make anyone the villain." "I've moved past labels." In this episode I'm calling it what it is — the spiritual trap. It's self-gaslighting dressed up in mature-sounding language. And it keeps you from ever naming what actually happened to you. Here's the thing. Your mind can rewrite the story. Your body can't. The tight shoulders, the dropping stomach, the exhaustion that won't lift, the insomnia — that's the truth still trying to be heard. When you override those signals with spiritual language, you're doing the same thing that was done to you as a child. You're dismissing her. I break down the reasons we don't name our experiences. The fear of getting pulled into the empath vs narcissist loop online. Naming a pattern privately is not the same as building your entire identity around a role. The fear of being "too much" or "too dramatic." That's the inner child still trying to be a good kid so she doesn't get in trouble for having feelings. The fear that naming it means confronting the person or publicly blowing up your life. It doesn't. Naming is a private act between you, your inner child, and maybe a coach or therapist. I also say something I'm firm about — never tell a narcissistic person they are a narcissist. That is not the work. If you're a coach, this matters even more. Refusing to name your own patterns creates a ceiling. Your clients will hit the exact walls you're hiding behind. It shows up in your pricing and your presence and what you're able to receive. Acknowledging your inner child was a victim doesn't make you a victim now. As the adult, you have power and choices she didn't have — which is exactly why you can finally hold what happened with honesty and love her through it. Ready to do this work? #14: Your Trigger Is Your Power

There's a book called Busting Loose from the Money Game by Robert Scheinfeld that cracked something wide open for me. The premise: we are infinite creators who deliberately hid our own power inside our own lives, just so we could experience the joy of finding it again. That single reframe undoes so much. Because when you manifest the thing and still feel empty afterward, it's not that you did it wrong. The joy was never in the object. The joy is in remembering you had the power all along. In this episode I'm walking you through where that power actually gets hidden — inside your triggers and the same walls you keep hitting up against. Scheinfeld calls these "eggs." And the child part of you who's still living inside that pattern? She's the observer holding it in place. Quantum physics tells us the observer changes what is observed. There is no past — only a present moment where an old story is being actively observed into existence by a part of you still trapped inside of it. Reparenting is how the adult you reaches into that field, witnesses her, and pulls her home into the now. This isn't soft healing. It's reclamation. When you bring that child part back, the creative fuel that was tied up in maintaining the old pattern is finally free — free for you to imagine and build the life and business you actually want. For coaches and heart-led entrepreneurs, this matters more than any strategy you'll ever learn. Your audience feels your frequency before they hear a word you say. When your power is home, they know it. #13: Why Inner Child Work Accelerates Awakening

What if the pull toward inner child work isn't about fixing yourself — but about waking up? In this episode of Inner Child Revolution, I explore why the call to heal your inner child is actually a spiritual awakening in disguise. Across mystical traditions and sacred texts, the child has always represented closeness to the divine — and that's not a coincidence. I break down what reparenting really is: the ongoing inner conversation between your conscious adult self and the younger version of you who still runs the show. Drawing from Neville Goddard's teachings on inner conversations and the quantum principle that the observer changes what is observed, I explain how revisiting a past memory and giving your inner child what they needed actually shifts the past itself — changing your present reference point and expanding what's possible for your future. I also challenge older consciousness frameworks that taught us to override or destroy negative thoughts. Modern trauma science tells a different story — that resistance is often a scared, younger part of you trying to keep you safe. The path forward isn't fighting that part. It's meeting it with compassion and integrating it through reparenting. And at the core of it all: true transformation comes from identity, not strategy. When you revise the memories where you learned your worth was conditional, you rewrite the identity that runs your business, your relationships, and your capacity to receive. 🔗 Ready to go deeper?
