    We Talk to Eternamente

We Talk to Eternamente, A Día de los Muertos Spectacular Music and movement have a way of carrying us back to the people we miss. In this episode of We Talk, we sit down with the mariachi bandleader and folklórico choreographer behind Eternamente, a Día de los Muertos celebration that pairs live mariachi with dancers. They share why the holiday speaks to everyone, how the show traces Mexican folklórico from pre-Hispanic ritual through Spanish, African, and South American influences, and what it means to have the group’s founder back on stage with his son for a reunion decades in the making. We also hear about Miguel’s journey from electrical engineering to building a university dance program, a path that backs up their advice for anyone returning to their art: never give up on your dreams, and pass the tradition on.
