Retro Gaming Club Episode 4: Castlevania - Rondo of Blood

This week, we are kicking off the Halloween Season with a spooky classic. Castlevania: Rondo of Blood! This game was the debut of Richter Belmont and Maria Renard. It features tight platforming, an incredible soundtrack, and just sick vibes all around. Originally released in 1993 for the TurboGrafx-16, this game was super impressive for its time and holds up incredibly well. Real shame we never got this one in the states until way later!

It arrived well into the lifespan of the Game Boy Advance, when the Game Boy Color was already becoming yesterday’s hardware. Despite its rough launch, Shantae has gone on to develop a devoted following . Hope you enjoy! If you do, share this podcast with your friends!
