What's the Point of Making Music Anymore?

i accidentally deleted the microphone audio. so i had to use the audio from my camera. it doesn't sound too great so i considered redoing the video. but the last thing i want to do is read from a script for a video like this. in this video i authentically sat down and talked about how i'm feeling at the moment. so i'm not letting my perfectionism get in the way of my authentic voice. sorry for the audio xolemates.do you ever feel discouraged when you release music?it's hard living in a world of numbers as an artist. releasing a song you spent days on, only to see a handful of streams.but the impact of music can't be quantified by numbers. music is important to make becuase making music is important. sharing a piece of art with the world should be just a simple bonus to the process. it shouldn't be the goal.keep making music xolemates ๐ŸŒฑ SUPPORT MY WORK ON PATREON โ†’ https://www.patreon.com/xole MY ORIGINAL MUSIC โ†’ https://solo.to/xolesongs JOIN THE XOLEMATES DISCORD โ†’ http://bit.ly/xolediscord CHECK OUT MY STORE โ†’ https://keepmakingmusic.net THE GEAR I USE โ†’ https://keepmakingmusic.net/pages/xolesgear BUSINESS INQUIRIES โ†’ xole.exclusive@gmail.com

Spotify AI Songs Are Out of Control

someone uploaded a bunch of AI-generated music slop on my spotify artist page, Cole Still. i read that around 100,000 fully AI-generated songs are uploaded to streaming platforms EVERY DAY. that's a big problem. with that much constant noise being added to spotify, eventually its going to land on your page and youโ€™ll have to take it down like i did. how often will we have to take down AI slop on our pages in the future? is this going to be a regular thing? will streaming services finally crack down and reject all AI-generated music? will suno and udio finally be crushed by all their lawsuits? or will streaming services double down and continue to create their own AI-generated slop to pay less royalties to real artists? what are your thoughts? let me know in the comments. keep making music ๐ŸŒฑ โ˜† Timestamps โ˜† 00:00 ~ finding AI slop on my spotify page 04:12 ~ it's too easy to release music 08:13 ~ our music is being stolen & studied 11:45 ~ should we all leave spotify? 14:24 ~ thurl ravenscroft 16:03 ~ getting the slop off my page SUPPORT MY WORK ON PATREON โ†’ https://www.patreon.com/xole MY ORIGINAL MUSIC โ†’ https://solo.to/xolesongs JOIN THE XOLEMATES DISCORD โ†’ http://bit.ly/xolediscord CHECK OUT MY STORE โ†’ https://keepmakingmusic.net THE GEAR I USE โ†’ https://keepmakingmusic.net/pages/xolesgear BUSINESS INQUIRIES โ†’ xole.exclusive@gmail.com

I got scammed and my YouTube channel was hacked... [5/27/26]

this is an embarrassing video to make. i made a huge mistake and i fell for a fake sponsorship scam. these scammer posed as the audio brand Marshall and i fell for it. no amount of security, 2FA, or password changes could've saved me after i gave these scammers a session token. i just wanted to make this video to shed light on how sophisticated some of these scams are. there will always be people who find it easier to prey on hardworking people instead of building something themselves. these scams will only get more sophisticated with AI. no matter what channel i upload on, i will always be making videos and music. that is my promise to y'all. love you guys.keep making music ๐ŸŒฑ P.S.1: Marshall obviously had nothing to do with this. these scammers just chose Marshall as the company they would impersonate. P.S.2: the YouTube support team did an amazing job getting my channel back. the hackers changed my name, handle, images, and eventually got my whole channel removed from the platform. but the YouTube support team restored everything. if you find yourself in the terrible situation of losing a channel due to hackers, contact teamYouTube on twitter and they will eventually get your channel back. P.S.3: i just learned Camus got scammed in the exact same way but with downloading a link instead of logging into YouTube. he believes there's a chance the video was AI.https://youtu.be/d8dqiFxwdIU?si=zcWN510XIsJ-n6Ag โ˜† timestamps โ˜† 00:00 ~ i got my channel back 02:59 ~ learning my channel was hacked 04:45 ~ how i got hacked 13:21 ~ what the scammers did 15:08 ~ what i learned SUPPORT MY WORK ON PATREON โ†’ https://www.patreon.com/xole MY ORIGINAL MUSIC โ†’ https://solo.to/xolesongs JOIN THE XOLEMATES DISCORD โ†’ http://bit.ly/xolediscord CHECK OUT MY STORE โ†’ https://keepmakingmusic.net THE GEAR I USE โ†’ https://keepmakingmusic.net/pages/xolesgear BUSINESS INQUIRIES โ†’ xole.exclusive@gmail.com

I have to work a "real" job as an artist... [7/23/25]

[7/23/25] another rant. just wanted to talk about where my head's been the past couple of months. getting a real job has helped a lot, but it's been difficult trying to navigate my passion for creation alongside it. i will eventually find my groove. thanks for being patient xolemates โค๏ธ keep making music ๐ŸŒฑ SUPPORT MY WORK ON PATREON โ†’ https://www.patreon.com/xole MY ORIGINAL MUSIC โ†’ https://solo.to/xolesongs JOIN THE XOLEMATES DISCORD โ†’ http://bit.ly/xolediscord CHECK OUT MY STORE โ†’ https://keepmakingmusic.net THE GEAR I USE โ†’ https://keepmakingmusic.net/pages/xolesgear BUSINESS INQUIRIES โ†’ xole.exclusive@gmail.com

I have to work a "real" job as an artist... [12/16/24]

[12/16/24] enjoy me rambling for 20 minutes. just wanted to give y'all an update on what i've been up to. for the past few months i've been working about 10 hours a week at a local car dealership. completely uninspired and uncreative work, but i love it. it helped inspire some of my best work: "for her to hear" - a five-song solo project i dropped at the end of november. in this video i talk about how i could do a better job monetizing my youtube channel. i turn down 90% of the sponsorships that come my way, i don't have anything to sell to my audience, and i've started making very niche videos. some part of me just heavily resists following the suggested youtube route. and the other part of me just wants to make music all day. so i had to get an actual job to continue creating unmonetizable art. i am so blessed i get to follow my passion, even if it's confusing and humbling at times. i have y'all to thank for that. thank you so much for following and supporting my journey. xolemates for life. keep making music ๐ŸŒฑ SUPPORT MY WORK ON PATREON โ†’ https://www.patreon.com/xole MY ORIGINAL MUSIC โ†’ https://solo.to/xolesongs JOIN THE XOLEMATES DISCORD โ†’ http://bit.ly/xolediscord CHECK OUT MY STORE โ†’ https://keepmakingmusic.net THE GEAR I USE โ†’ https://keepmakingmusic.net/pages/xolesgear BUSINESS INQUIRIES โ†’ xole.exclusive@gmail.com
