Same table. Same chair. Same hearth. Join Jaime Buckley as he tells you one complete story, read aloud at the Black Market's favorite tavern. The genre may change, but the table never does. Cozy one visit, a fireside chill the next (fair warning, in character, before those), always something that stands on its own even if you never hear another. No arcs to catch up on. No homework. Just the same seat, waiting for you. www.lifeoffiction.com

Ep. 2: The Best Seat At The Den

Welcome to Life of Fiction: Tales from the Roadkill Tavern. Pull up a chair, have a drink, enjoy the company. Every innkeeper Sela’d passed in three weeks had asked, sooner or later, gently or not. What a girl her age was doing alone on the road, with a broken boot and a face like a slammed door. Mayson didn’t. New tales every week. Come back and keep your seat. ...shh. Come closer. Nobody else at this table can see this. Just you, because you’re one of the regulars: If you’re wondering what motivated me to share this story with you, it’s simple. I don’t do well alone. I love people. I need people. I want to be of service to and be around people. There’s nothing more wonderful or comforting to me than to be surrounded by friends, family, good food and a warm fire. That’s my motivation for this story =) "Something's being whispered two seats over. Come sit with the regulars and find out." - Jaime 🎙️ One new story a week, told like you're already at the table. Ep. 1: What Maren Heard

Welcome to Life of Fiction: Tales from the Roadkill Tavern. Pull up a chair, have a drink, enjoy the company. Maren's heard bards before. She's never heard one like Terrin. New tales every week. Come back and keep your seat. ...shh. Come closer. Nobody else at this table can see this. Just you, because you’re one of the regulars: You know why I started with a story about Terrin? The intro and outro music, that’s why. I loved creating the harmonies so much, but Terrin rarely sings with anyone else, so I added a twist on his already-magical performances. Since I never like ‘because it’s magic’ as an answer, I made sure there was lore behind it. …now you know. =) "Something's being whispered two seats over. Come sit with the regulars and find out." - Jaime 🎙️ One new story a week, told like you're already at the table.
