    Why Flamingos Are Pink

Flamingo chicks hatch grey, not pink. Here's how they get their famous color from what they eat, how pigments travel from tiny algae and shrimp into their feathers, and what a flamingo's shade of pink can signal to other flamingos. How Hummingbirds Hover

Hummingbirds are the only birds that can hover again and again, all day long.
