Soluna by Kooth - Evolving youth mental health support

Today, we’re talking about youth mental health. For 25 years, Kooth has been one of the UK’s best-known digital mental health services for young people, bringing together one-to-one chat with mental health professionals, self-guided tools and moderated peer support into one place. In supported areas it’s funded by the NHS, local councils and partners. That means no subscriptions and no waiting lists. Young people can get support on their own terms, whenever they need it. Kooth has grown enormously after launching alongside the NHS in 2001 - 20 million people now have access to a Kooth service across the UK and US. As Kooth celebrates its 25th anniversary, this is a real inflection point for the company. Not only is Kooth launching an evolved digital platform - Soluna - but young people, mental health and the impact of technology are at the centre of political and social debate.  To find out more, we’re joined by Lynne Green, Chief Clinical Officer at Kooth...

Polsen Health – Rethinking wearables around the body’s stress response

Today, we’re talking about stress and the toll it takes on our long-term health. Chronic stress is closely linked to many of the conditions putting the most pressure on health systems. Yet most of us have very little insight into how our bodies actually respond to stress day to day. That’s the gap Polsen Health set out to fill. The Amsterdam-based company has created what it calls the NOWATCH Awareable, a screenless wearable that doesn’t push scores or demand your attention. Its Reactivity Monitor captures heart rate, motion and skin activity every second to track how long stress lasts, how quickly you recover, and how often it strikes. When a stress response begins, the device gives a gentle nudge to pause before it escalates. So what was the spark behind NOWATCH? And could understanding stress be the key to genuinely preventive healthcare? Timothée Manschot, CEO and co-founder of Polsen Health explains more…

His company is tackling this issue head-on, using smart technology to help patients manage their medications at home. Kieran is here today to explain how better adherence doesn't just save lives… It transforms the economics of care.

Eolas Medical - AI adoption in the NHS

Today, we're joined by Dr. Ryan Samuels, former NHS doctor and director at Eolas Medical. In high-pressure settings like a night shift, clinicians need critical information fast - but too often, they're searching through fragmented systems with little support. Eolas Medical’s AI-powered 'answer engine' is already used by 85% of acute trusts and more than 350,000 UK clinicians. Ryan’s here to reveal why clinical empathy and technical fluency matter just as much as the technology itself - and why he believes both have been overlooked in the rush to adopt AI…

Today, we're joined by Dr. Lara Zibners, co-founder and chair of Calla Lily Clinical Care, a clinical-stage company pioneering vaginal drug delivery, with applications spanning fertility, menopause, cancer, and infectious disease. Calla Lily has recently been selected for Wellcome Leap's $50 million Focused Antibiotics programme - targeting a UTI treatment that spares the gut microbiome. He’s here to tell us how real-time data from connected assets can help providers spot risks earlier and protect patient environments…
