Retail on the Record

While I enjoy this podcast I was taken aback that the moderator allowed Michelle from Cascade Group to state that tariffs are “good” for the American economy. Many, many businesses have suffered or gone out of business due to the Trump tariffs. Not to mention the double digit inflation caused by these foolish tariffs and the thousands of lost manufacturing jobs. Maybe her business is ok but many others in Ohio are suffering. Also, she mentioned that Chinese car companies receive government subsidies and that is why their car prices are low Since 2000, American car companies have received roughly $20 billion in local, state and federal subsidies and prices of American cars have only increased by double digits. I think Michelle needs to further educate herself on the car market

Dan Shine has the knack for picking interesting guests and making a long podcast seem too short. David Wyler was a great first guest with a great life story, funny anecdotes and wisdom on leadership that transcends every industry. I must admit this podcast may displace Daily Drive as my favorite automotive podcast!
