Taya Alexander

Good Gossip is a weekly podcast where host Taya Alexander tells her guests the good things people say about them behind their backs. Each episode, she brings a guest something she's heard said about them (an idea, a compliment, a piece of advice, or a story), and from there we talk about what it really takes to communicate better and build deeper, more intentional relationships. Talking about people behind their backs. Only the good stuff, said to their face. 20 to 30 minutes, every week. Join us @goodgossip.podcast

Talent Was Never Going to Be Enough with Solomon Smith

Solomon Smith is never in a hurry. He also finishes everything he starts. Most of us feel like we have to pick one. In this conversation we unpack how Solo has become who he is today and the foundations and belief systems that got him there. Solo is a Berklee-trained bassist who's toured with Post Malone and Billie Eilish, and in this episode he makes the case that relaxed and productive aren't opposites. We get into who taught him his work ethic, what rest looks like without the guilt, how he decides an idea is done, and why so few session players release music of their own. In true Good Gossip fashion, I brought him something good I'd heard said about him behind his back, and we went from there. If you've got a song, a business, or a project sitting in a folder right now, this one's for you. Topics: Perfectionism and readiness Working hard vs working scared Burnout detection Not letting your ideas die Resting without guilt Humility alongside success Talent isn’t enough Faith as the foundation How people romanticize the live music industry Know someone who deserves some good gossip? How to Go Deeper With Anyone, According to Twins with Sydney & Simone Torregano

Sydney and Simone Torregano have spent their whole lives in one of the closest relationships two people can have, and they've learned how to make anyone feel that seen. They are identical twins born and raised in California, who I had the pleasure of meeting shortly after moving to LA. We instantly connected over our shared faith and love for meaningful conversations. They’re also social media influencers and creators who have a lot of fun sharing authentic discussions, laughs and life on their platforms. If you've ever met them, you know they have a rare gift: they're genuinely curious about people. They ask the second question, they actually listen to the answer, and somehow you walk away feeling more seen than when you arrived. In true Good Gossip fashion, I brought them something good I'd heard said about them behind their backs, and from there we talked about what it really takes to get past small talk and build deeper, more intentional relationships. Topics: Why small talk still matters, and how to move past it What growing up as twins taught them about connection How to talk about people in a way that builds them up Becoming a better listener Reading social cues and knowing when to go deeper Being intentional about the relationships you want Know someone who deserves some good gossip?
