Chinenye Uzondu. Podcast host, bible teacher and family physician.

Have you found yourself feeling that there is more God has for you? Do you desire a more intimate walk with the Holy Spirit? Do you sometimes feel you are not connecting with God?  I am delighted you are here. This podcast will help you learn how to be in tune with God’s voice, develop a structure for consistency in your walk with God, and help you grow in serving Him. Hey, I’m Chinenye, an unashamed Jesus lover, a wife, mum of three, a Nigerian British woman and a fully qualified GP. I have lived outside of Nigeria for about 8 years now. I have struggled with my walk with God in a new environment while juggling childcare, parenting , marriage, finances and a career. I have had to deal with moments of low self-esteem, fear, feeling inadequate and not being sure of what God has designed me for. I have tried  leaning entirely on my own strength or my previous encounters with God especially while living in Nigeria. I found that I needed an active and ongoing walk with God. I found that I needed to understand who God has designed me as especially in this new environment He has planted me. I found that learning to hear God in real time and follow His leading always brought me to a place of fulfilment and more growth. On this podcast, you will learn more about growing in your relationship with God, finding your identity in Him and walking in your God-given purpose. If you are ready to go on the same journey, make yourself comfortable and let’s dive in.

EP6/3 Reasons you should stop procrastinating prayer so you can grow in your journey of faith and hearing God.

Hey mama! To hear God, we need to pray. However, we encounter so many reasons in our day to day lives which add up and lead to procrastinating prayer. That doesn't need to be. On this episode, i share three reasons why starting exactly where you are to pray still works perfectly. Actually, i set out out to share three reasons and ended up sharing four!  We know that God is our Father, that He is interested in us and wants us as part of His Kingdom. I talk about this on the episode. Prayer continuously and frequently also helps us experience God in the very small things, grow our confidence in Him as well as sharpen our discernment. All these set us on the path of hearing and obeying God.   My prayer is that after this episode, your understanding of prayer will deepen and you will begin to live it as a lifestyle. I pray that the Holy Spirit will lead you further into God's heart of what prayer can and should be despite everything else going on around us. Lots of love.. EP5/ Have you wondered how your faith in God translates as an immigrant godly mom living abroad? Here is ONE ACTION that will get you on the path of certainty and daily living out your faith.

Have you ever wondered how some people seem so confident in their faith that it shows in the way they live? In this episode, Chinenye shares one thing that helps us build confidence as we walk with God: consistency. When we consistently show up in our relationship with God, we grow in our knowledge of Him, become more confident in what we believe, and become better able to recognize and obey His voice in our everyday lives. In this episode, we talk about: Why consistency helps us become confident in the things we believe. How repeatedly showing up for something helps us grow in it. How allowing God to change the way we think transforms the way we live.   Think of that jollof rice or Egusi soup (or your favorite stew). In your home, you're the authority in that kitchen and over that dish. The same principle (plus others) applies when it comes to having the things we believe in in our prayer closets translating into our every day life. We show up over and over and over. Joshua 1:8 reminds us to continually meditate on God's Word, while Romans 12:2 teaches us that as God transforms the way we think, we are transformed and become able to recognize His good, pleasing and perfect will. This episode is an encouragement to keep showing up in your relationship with God. The small, daily investments matter. As we consistently spend time with Him, we grow in confidence—not just in what we believe, but in our ability to live it out. God bless! Hey mama, could you take a few seconds to leave me a review on Apple Podcasts? You can also leave me a question. I look forward to reading your reviews and questions. Thank you! EP3/Do you desire to be confident in your faith in God and in who God has designed you as while living and working abroad? Here is what living a life of purpose can look like.

Hey sis! I know you have heard so many times about purpose and purposeful living. That conversation might even feel somewhat out of place for you now that you live abroad. Maybe what you believed 'purpose' was doesn't apply 'here' anymore. What if i told you that purpose is what GOD makes of exactly where you are! His plans don't stop being valid because we moved. Even when we don't understand it fully, He is still working things out. On this episode, i share what living a life of purpose can look like in an unfamiliar environment. I also share three things to be mindful and which can help us on that journey.    I am certain that there is a stirring in here for you. It may be like that ginger and garlic combo you need for your jollof mix. Hey, could you take a few seconds and leave me a review on apple podcasts? Please and thank you! I pray this episode blesses you as much it has blessed me!  I'll see you on the next one! Bye for now. Love, Chinenye. Please take a moment and leave me a review on Apple Podcasts. EP2/ Struggling with how to pray? Tips on how to kickstart your prayer habit as a diaspora working mom

Hey mama! On this episode, we talk about how to pray. You've known for so long that you need to pray as part of your walk with God, especially if you are desiring to hear Him. But you're busy, juggling so many things and exhausted on so many days. You would like to be in tune with how God speaks to you or you feel like you are not saying the right words. As it turns out, scripture teaches us to come to God as our Father: The One who knows us all too well, who hears us and knows our voice. Letting go of the fear of doing it right and just having a sincere, simple and honest prayer on the basis of a relationship is what scripture teaches us.  Asking my children's view of when they call out to their daddy helped me understand better what Jesus was saying and exemplifying when He prayed throughout scripture.   I pray this episode blesses you as it has blessed me!   Please take a few seconds and leave me a review on apple podcasts.
