This is Jessi Anyway. From relationships and friendships to fitness, owning a gym, traveling the country, life with three high-drive rescue dogs, unexpected adventures, and the things nobody really talks about—nothing is off the table. No script. No pretending. Just real conversations about the good, the bad, the messy, and everything in between. Because none of us really have it all figured out anyway.

Ep. 4 - I Thought I Was Going to Jury Duty… Then I Got Put on a Murder Trial

What starts with a jury summons turns into more than three weeks sitting on a murder trial, seeing disturbing evidence, navigating the weight of making a life-changing decision, and experiencing the justice system from inside the courtroom. Jessi gets candid about what it was really like to be selected as a juror, being unable to talk about the case with anyone, seeing evidence that stayed with her long after court ended, deliberating with 11 strangers, and ultimately returning a unanimous guilty verdict. But the story didn’t end there. What happened after the verdict completely changed the way she looks at the justice system.  FULL This is not a retelling of the case or an attempt to be a legal expert. It’s Jessi’s firsthand experience of being inside a courtroom, carrying an incredible emotional burden, and walking away realizing that real life is nothing like what we see on television. Life’s good. Life’s messy. None of us really have it all figured out. But anyway... this is Jessi Anyway.

    Ep. 3 - I Opened a Gym in My 40s... What Was I Thinking?

What happens when you have a wild idea, decide you're not too old to chase it, and actually go for it? In Episode 3 of Jessi Anyway, Jessi Jacobus gets real about opening her own gym in her 40s. She shares why she decided to finally make the leap after more than 15 years working in the fitness industry, what she imagined owning a gym would be like, and the very different reality that came with actually doing it.  FULL From equipment that costs way more than expected and endless paperwork to hauling 130-pound mats, figuring out technology, learning how to run a business, and wondering if she completely lost her mind, Jessi takes you behind the scenes of building her boutique private gym from the ground up.  FULL But underneath all the chaos is a bigger lesson: you don't have to know everything before you start. Jessi talks about being a beginner again in her 40s, learning as she goes, overcoming the fear of failure, and finally seeing something she dreamed about become real.  FULL If you've ever had a crazy idea you've been sitting on for years because you think you're too old, too late, or not ready, this one's for you. Sometimes you just have to start, figure it out along the way, and accept that there are going to be a LOT of pits. Life's good. Life's messy. None of us really have it all figured out. But anyway... this is Jessi Anyway.

Ep. 2 - Nobody Warned Me About Getting Older

What happens when your brain still feels 25, but your body starts sending you very different messages? In Episode 2 of Jessi Anyway, Jessi Jacobus gets brutally honest, hilarious, and surprisingly reflective about the things nobody tells you about getting older. From random injuries, questionable hairs, colonoscopies, brain fog, and suddenly needing eight hours of sleep to realizing that staying home can be the highlight of your Friday night, Jessi covers the weird realities of life in your 40s.  But getting older isn't all aches, pains, and wondering where your skin went. Jessi talks about having a smaller circle, caring less about other people's opinions, appreciating the people around you, and finally realizing that you don't actually have to have life figured out.   She also shares the things she'd tell her younger self: stop worrying so much about what people think, try new things, appreciate the people in your life, take care of your body, and most importantly, don't wait until you're ready. Just do it.  Because maybe getting older isn't about slowing down. Maybe it's about finally becoming confident enough to live life your way. Life's good. Life's messy. None of us really have it all figured out. But anyway... this is Jessi Anyway.

Ep. 1 - Three Rescue Dogs, Two Broken Hearts & One Unexpected Journey

Welcome to Jessi Anyway, where life is messy, nothing is scripted, and Jessi Jacobus is figuring it all out right alongside you. For the very first episode, Jessi starts with a story that is deeply personal: how losing her beloved golden retriever, Sammy, led her to a local shelter, where she unexpectedly found three incredible rescue dogs who would completely change her life.  From grieving Sammy and finding a way through depression, to meeting Popper, Frieda, and Harlow, Jessi shares the emotional, hilarious, chaotic, and sometimes heartbreaking journey that brought these three high-drive dogs into her family. Along the way, she talks about shelter dogs, unexpected connections, second chances, and the promise to give these animals the best life possible.   It's an honest first chapter about grief, healing, rescue, family, and finding a little light when life doesn't go according to plan. Life's good. Life's messy. None of us have it all figured out. But anyway... this is Jessi Anyway.
