    Learning to Receive Support

You can be surrounded by people, needed by people, and loved by people, and still be carrying more than anybody realizes. Sis, when you're the strong one, people get used to you being okay. You're the dependable one, the problem-solver, the decision-maker, and the woman everyone knows they can count on. But who's checking on you? Who's holding you when you're tired of holding everything else? In this episode of S.H.E. Leads Without Permission, we're having a conversation about the hidden cost of always being the strong one, and why being capable doesn't mean you have to carry everything alone. Through a personal reflection and the story of Moses, Aaron, and Hur in Exodus 17, we're exploring what happens when strength becomes our identity, how much invisible weight we carry, and why receiving support is just as important as giving it. Because sometimes the hardest part isn't finding support. It's allowing ourselves to receive it. In This Episode, We're Talking About: When being dependable becomes part of your identity. The visible and invisible responsibilities strong women carry. Why asking for help can feel uncomfortable when you're used to being the helper. What Moses teaches us about strength, leadership, and receiving support.Learning to make room for relationships where you don't always have to lead, fix, or perform. Your S.H.E. Moment | Seen. Held. Equipped. Take a moment to look at the people around you. Who can you be honest with? Who notices when you're quiet? Who offers wisdom, encouragement, or a place to rest without expecting you to have all the answers? And just as importantly, have you allowed those people to support you? You don't always need another person who needs something from you. Sometimes you need somewhere you can simply be yourself. Your Reflection Question: Who holds me when I'm tired of holding everything else? Your Next Step | The Support Check This week, take a few minutes to reflect: Who pours into me?Who helps carry me?Who gives me wise counsel?Who gives me room to be honest? What am I still carrying alone that I don't have to? Choose one area where you can begin receiving the support you need. Scripture Reference: Exodus 17:10–13... Aaron and Hur supporting Moses during the battle. Remember This: Strong women need somewhere to be soft. Somewhere you don't have to fix, lead, solve, carry, or make everything okay for everybody else. Strength and support were never meant to be opposites. Let's Continue the Conversation I'd love to hear from you! What came up for you when you asked yourself, "Who holds the strong one?" What Your Next Level Actually Needs

You can be ready for more and still not be ready to hold more. Sis, we spend so much time praying for the next opportunity, the next level, and the next open door. But how often do we stop to ask whether the life we're building can actually support what we're asking for? Sometimes the answer isn't working harder, doing more, or finding another productivity trick. Sometimes it's strengthening the foundation. In this episode of S.H.E. Leads Without Permission, we're talking about what your next level really requires, and why the habits, structure, systems, capacity, and support that got you here may not be enough for where you're going. We'll explore the difference between being able to carry something and actually having the capacity to carry it well, why growth can expose weaknesses in our foundation, and how preparing for more sometimes means learning what to release. Because your next level doesn't need a version of you that can carry everything. It needs a foundation where everything doesn't have to be carried by you. Your S.H.E. Moment: What would break first if the opportunity you've been praying for arrived today? Don't rush past that question. Pay attention to what comes up. Your Next Step: Take the Capacity Assessment to identify what you're carrying, where the pressure is showing up, and what may need to be strengthened, changed, delegated, or released. Link: bit.ly/capacitybreakthroughassessment Start with one thing. Not ten. Just one. Scripture Reference: Luke 14:28: Counting the cost before you build. Coming Next Week: We're talking about the cost of always being the strong one, and what happens when being the person everyone depends on starts costing you more than you realize. If this conversation spoke to you, follow the podcast, leave a rating or review, and share this episode with another woman who's preparing for her next level. Stay seen. Stay held. Stay equipped. Stop Waiting For Permission

Sometimes we say we’re waiting on clarity when what we’re really waiting on is permission. Permission to start. Permission to change. Permission to leave. Permission to trust what we already know. In this episode of S.H.E. Leads Without Permission, Candace talks about the difference between seeking wisdom and handing someone else responsibility for a decision that belongs to you. For ambitious women, it can be easy to keep asking for one more opinion, one more conversation, or one more confirmation—not because we have no direction, but because we want the decision to feel safer. But wisdom is supposed to help you make a decision, not replace your responsibility to make one. In this episode, we talk about: The difference between wisdom and validationWhy outside approval can quietly delay your next moveHow to recognize when you already have enough information to decideWhy reassurance cannot become a requirement for actionHow prayer, discernment, and wise counsel work togetherWhy leadership sometimes means moving without complete certainty You do not need everybody to agree with your next move. You need enough wisdom to make the decision and enough trust in God to take the next step. Reflection Question: Where are you seeking validation when you actually need to trust the wisdom you already have? Sit with that question. The answer may show you exactly where you have been giving your authority away. If this episode made you realize you have been waiting for someone else to validate a decision that already belongs to you, send it to a sis who may need the same reminder. And follow S.H.E. Leads Without Permission for conversations that help you build the habits, structure, and foundation you need to lead well in life, business, and every room God has called you to. You are seen. You are held. You are equipped. www.sheleadswithoutpermission.com

    Seen. Held. Equipped.

Being capable and being supported are not the same thing. In this episode of S.H.E. Leads Without Permission, Candace talks about what so many ambitious women know all too well: being the one who can figure it out, make the plan, solve the problem, and keep everything moving. But capability can quietly become isolation when everyone depends on you and no one stops to ask what you need. This episode unpacks what it really means to be Seen. Held. Equipped. and why support should not only show up after you are already overwhelmed. We talk about: The difference between being capable and being supportedWhy being able to handle something does not mean you should have toWhat it means to be seen beyond what you produceHow systems, boundaries, rhythms, and people can help hold the weightWhy encouragement alone is not enoughThe importance of having tools, structure, wisdom, and support you can actually use You do not have to prove your strength by doing everything alone. You can be capable and supported. You can lead and receive. You can be the woman everyone depends on and still have people, systems, and support you can depend on too. Reflection Question: Where in your life do you need to be seen, held, or equipped instead of simply pushing yourself harder? Pay attention to which word stands out first: Seen. Held. Equipped. There may be something there worth listening to. If this episode reminded you of another ambitious woman who is always the one figuring everything out, send it to her. And follow S.H.E. Leads Without Permission for more conversations designed to help you build the habits, structure, and foundation you need to lead well in life, business, and every room God has called you to. Seen. What Are You Building?

Sometimes the season that feels like nothing is happening is the very season where God is doing His deepest work in you. In this episode of S.H.E. Leads Without Permission, Candace shares what her wilderness season taught her about identity, productivity, preparation, and becoming the woman who is ready for what she has been asking God for. This conversation is for the woman who is used to moving, producing, leading, and being the one everyone depends on—but now finds herself in a season that feels slower, quieter, or uncertain. We’re talking about what happens when the titles shift, the plans change, the doors close, and you can no longer measure progress the way you used to. Because sometimes the biggest thing God is building in the wilderness is you. In this episode, we talk about: Why productivity is not proof of purposeWhat slow seasons can reveal about your identityWhy unseen progress is still progressHow stronger boundaries, deeper confidence, and greater discipline may be part of your preparationWhy God may be building you before releasing what you have been praying for Reflection Question: Who am I becoming in this season, even if I cannot see what God is building yet? If this episode speaks to your season, share it with a sis who needs the reminder that even here, God is still working. Follow S.H.E.
