That's a Keeper is an interview series from I Can't Afford This But Maybe She Can, exploring what makes an object worth keeping, and what that says about the person who kept it. Each episode, a guest brings three objects that matter to them right now, the ones they've held onto, the ones they've kept secret, and what's essential versus what's simply treasured. Expect warm, nosy conversation and a bit of amateur psychoanalysis.

Our first ever guest is Friederike Delius., founder of the Berlin-based design label Studio Berg, home to some of the most joyful, Memphis-inspired tableware around. She brings three objects that reveal far more about her than she probably expected. We talk about the weird logic of collecting one thing obsessively, designing for play versus function, and how your formative years basically decide your whole creative personality. See photos of everything we talk about and more of Studio Berg's work here. Cover image: Anne Deppe
