Lamar Jackson Out: Ravens Season Over? | Nu Takes

Lamar Jackson hurt his throwing hand on Baltimore's first offensive play in Buffalo, had surgery on his right thumb, and is headed to injured reserve for at least four games, with head coach Jesse Minter saying it could possibly end his season. The Bills won 36-10, the Ravens fell to 4-4 with a third straight loss, and T-Dub says if Baltimore does not trade for a quarterback this week, the season is already over. In the NFL, Washington rallied from 10 down to beat Philadelphia 27-10, handing the Eagles a sixth straight loss, and the trade deadline is eight days away with Denver pursuing Jonathan Taylor and Baltimore chasing Tyson Bagent. In the NBA, Luka Doncic dropped 45 points with 15 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals as the Lakers survived Toronto 131-125, rookie Yaxel Lendeborg scored a career-high 37 as the Warriors won a fourth straight, Boston won a fifth straight, and Brooklyn got its first win. Zeus has the board: the 76ers minus 11.5, the Lakers on the moneyline, and Seattle minus 3, plus the Parlay of the Day and the Moonshot, with the full board on the site. Host Terrence "T-Dub" Wells closes with the hottest take of the day: the Ravens' season ended on the first play in Buffalo unless a trade saves it. Nu Takes is a Sports Nus show. New episodes weekly. Brewers are champions: Milwaukee wins its first World Series

The Milwaukee Brewers are World Series champions. Milwaukee beat the Tampa Bay Rays 4-1 in Game 5 at Tropicana Field to win the series four games to one and claim the first World Series title in franchise history. Jacob Misiorowski threw five and two thirds scoreless innings, rookie Cooper Pratt drove in two runs, and Jackson Chourio set a five game Series record with eleven hits. Milwaukee won 103 games, swept the two time defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series, and finished October at 11-2. Wednesday in the NBA gave us a 44 point night from Stephen Curry in a 119-114 Golden State win at Minnesota, and a piece of history from Nikola Jokic, whose 21 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists in a 104-91 Denver win at New Orleans marked his 200th career triple double, second most in NBA history behind Russell Westbrook. The defending champion Knicks came back from 19 points down to beat the Chicago Bulls 133-127, with coach Mike Brown benching starter Mikal Bridges for the second half and winning with the reserves who closed. Around the rest of Wednesday in the NBA, Dallas routed Oklahoma City 120-96 behind Cooper Flagg, San Antonio won its third straight in overtime at Utah behind Victor Wembanyama, Miami got its first win as Giannis Antetokounmpo won his first game in a Heat uniform, the Lakers won without Luka Doncic, and Philadelphia came back from 13 down after three quarters to beat Indiana. The injury list is now the story of the first ten days, with Anthony Edwards, Tyrese Haliburton, Jalen Williams, Cason Wallace, Kawhi Leonard and Brandon Ingram all sidelined. Today, the WNBA Finals can end before lunch. The Golden State Valkyries lead the Atlanta Dream 3-2, and Game 6 tips at 11:30 AM Central in Atlanta, in a building that must be flipped for a Hawks game the same night. Tonight, the Carolina Panthers visit the Green Bay Packers on Thursday Night Football, and the NBA slate includes two winless teams meeting in New Orleans and two unbeaten teams meeting in Portland. Terrence "T-Dub" Wells sits in for K.O. today and closes with the hottest take of the day: Milwaukee is not a one year wonder, it is a dynasty getting its first ring, and the rest of baseball just watched the team that will run the National League for the next five years celebrate on their field. The Tampa Bay Rays beat the Milwaukee Brewers 4-3 in 12 innings in World Series Game 4, and the sweep is dead. Rookie Cooper Pratt had four hits and hit a go-ahead solo home run in the top of the 12th, but Tampa Bay answered in the bottom half on a throwing error, three singles and a walk-off single from pinch hitter Ben Williamson. Milwaukee still leads the series 3-1, and Game 5 is tonight in Tampa Bay.Tuesday in the NBA gave us an overtime classic in Boston, where Jayson Tatum scored 40 points and hit the buzzer-beater to beat Brooklyn 125-124, and a first win for the defending champions in New York, where Karl-Anthony Towns went for 27 points and 20 rebounds in a 111-97 win over Detroit.
