In spite of these battles, from being bed bound...to now, where I am a competitive bodybuilder- I can safely say that I live life to the fullest. I have dedicated my life to helping show others how to do the same through my coaching and simply showing that there is hope.. There IS a way forwards and I am here to show you how.     From Bed-bound To Teacher Training - Devon's Story | S2 E5

    Nine months ago, Devin couldn't stand up long enough to walk to the toilet. She spent two weeks in bed, lay on an airport floor because she couldn't sit in a wheelchair and felt completely lost after her diagnosis. What changed wasn't one big thing. It was 500 steps. Then 15 minutes on her own. Then learning to build her life around POTS instead of letting POTS become her life. Now, she's training to be a teacher and she stands through hour-long PE lessons without thinking about it. Everyone's journey looks different, and there's no timeline you're failing. But if you're in that early, lonely place, please know it isn't the whole story. In this episode, We talk through the biggest things that helped Devon get back to work, training and having a great social life.     Being A Teenage Girl With POTS | S2 E2

    When Evie first came to me, her goal every single night was simply to walk to a lamppost 200 metres from her front door. Today, she’s walking two miles with her dog, lifting heavier in the gym and even studying nutrition and personal training herself. But the journey to get here has been far from easy. In this incredibly emotional episode, I’m joined by Evie and her mum, Helen, as we talk about the heartbreaking reality of navigating POTS as a teenager. From fainting, missing school and struggling through GCSEs, to friendships falling apart and being accused of faking her illness. We also hear Helen’s perspective as a parent watching her daughter go through something she couldn't simply fix, as well as, the biggest things that helped Evie start rebuilding her life. This episode hits particularly close to home, as I was a similar age when I first developed POTS myself. Evie’s progress hasn't been linear. There have been flares, setbacks and incredibly difficult days. But her story is such a powerful reminder that where you are right now doesn't have to be where you stay.
