Matcha Power Ranking: The Best Matcha from LA to Tokyo

If there is going to be a line for something in LA, it is going to be for matcha. Cher is back from the National Restaurant Association show with a report on matcha vending machines and what the industry is betting on next, and we ask whether the supply can keep up with the craze. Then our Bib Gourmand: a power ranking of the best matcha from Los Angeles to Tokyo, with our criteria for taste, texture, color and the wait. Growing Up Crunchy: What Wellness Culture Gets Wrong

Ellice grew up vegetarian in a crunchy DC household. Cher grew up on juice shots and wheatgrass in LA. We compare notes on being raised in an ingredient household, then get into what wellness culture has turned into: the supplement stacks, the sleep scores, and the idea that healthy has to mean thin. Then the origin story. How we met at USC, the London trip that made us friends, and why two people who were already keeping lists started a show about eating out, staying out, and getting out of town.
