Sometimes we all need some help just getting started. Come, Follow Me is meant for personal and family study, and nothing here replaces that — this is a stepping stone: use it instead of doing nothing, until you're studying on your own or with your family. Don't land here and park; use this as a hand up, then move on to the next level. Independent study by Michael Jage, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Come, Follow Me (Nov 9–15, 2026) | There Is No Other God That Can Deliver — Daniel

This is an independent personal study by a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is unofficial and is not published, sponsored, or endorsed by the Church. Sometimes we all need some help just getting started. If regular Come, Follow Me study feels out of reach right now — the week got away from you, the Old Testament feels far away, or you just don't know where to begin — this is for you. It's a first step, not a destination: one honest walk through the whole lesson, every major point, in under ten minutes, so you can open the scriptures this week with something already in hand. And if you're ready to go deeper, please do — wonderful teachers go much further into these chapters than we can here; let this be the step that gets you to them. In the gospel, something is always better than nothing. This week: Daniel 1–7 — four teenagers stay faithful at a foreign king's table; three friends stand before a fiery furnace — "our God is able to deliver us — but if not"; Daniel prays at an open window and spends a night with the lions; and an old man's dream of beasts ends with One like the Son of Man receiving an everlasting kingdom. Chapters 00:00 Daniel 1–7 — "There Is No Other God That Can Deliver" 00:52 Act One — Faithful in a Foreign Court 04:19 Act Two — But If Not 06:52 Act Three — The Son of Man 08:16 The One Verse to Carry — Daniel 3:17–18 One verse to carry: Daniel 3:17–18 — "If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up." Next week (Nov 16–22): Hosea and Joel — God's love for a wandering people. Why this channel exists: Come, Follow Me is meant to be studied on your own and with your family. Nothing on this channel replaces that, and it isn't meant to. Use it as a hand up, from doing nothing to doing something, and as your journey grows, continue on to the next level of it. What do you do when God hands you an assignment you are sure you cannot do? Jeremiah was called as a young man, warned his people for more than forty years, and felt God's word as a fire he could not hold in. This study walks through his whole arc in three acts — the call, the warning, and the clay and the fire — covering every major point of this week's reading in about nine minutes. 0:00 The question Jeremiah's life answers 0:52 Act One — The Call (Jeremiah 1) 2:31 Act Two — The Warning (Jeremiah 2–3; 7) 4:41 Act Three — Clay and Fire (Jeremiah 16–18; 20) 7:47 The One Verse to Carry — Jeremiah 1:8 The verse to carry this week: "Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord."
