Cardi B Goes NPR Tiny Desk

Send us Fan Mail We react to Cardi B’s NPR Tiny Desk Concert and debate what changes when a bigger than life artist has to win in a small room with a live band. We break down standout songs, funny in-between moments, real critiques, and whether this set makes us want to pay to see her live.  • our fandom levels for Cardi B and what we expect walking in  • why Tiny Desk feels like the perfect storm for new audiences  • live show memories that set the bar for performance  • first reactions to her look, the all-black band, and the overall sound  • how the live arrangements change the songs and highlight breath control  • best song picks, funniest talking moments, and musician standouts  • critiques on the opener and how much cursing fits NPR  • whether we would rewatch it and what we would pay for tickets  • hot take on whether a live band makes rap better  • final verdict scores and the crew average  If you watched it, tell us your score. Tell us why you gave it that score.  Support the show

    Resident Evil Review

Send us Fan Mail We kick off the first So How Was It by explaining our one rule: we only review what we actually experience, and today that means Resident Evil. We break down what worked, what didn’t, and why the ending had us arguing even though we still recommend the watch.  • Our critic styles and what we look for in movies and experiences  • How we each watch horror movies and what actually scares us  • Expectations going into Resident Evil and why comedic relief matters  • Spoiler heavy breakdown of the ending and why it feels preventable  • Craziest scenes including the monster chase and the dog moment  • Whether it feels like a video game adaptation while you watch  • Ticket value, theater passes, and if it is worth the money  • Hot takes from casual viewers and longtime Resident Evil fans  • Final verdict with our 1 to 5 rating system and the average score  • Who we recommend it to and why it is better with a group  Make sure you subscribe, follow, and download.
